BEST ANSWER: Yes. I used it with mine and it functions fine.
This bolt allows you to fire Full Auto??
Josepe on May 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, has more to do with the strength and weight of the bcg. Slightly heavier than the bcgs labelled AR15 cut. Slows down cyclic rate slightly.
What grade of steel is the carrier made of ?
Ring68 on Apr 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 8620 grade tool steel

Feed me seymour
stripped, cleaned and oiled before installing it.

ate every round I chucked into it. ejected the cases with gusto.
replaced an AR15 cut BCG with this and felt a slight reduction in the cyclical rate, which for me was enjoyable. mitigated the already negligible recoil impulse and made follow up shots a hair quicker.

My next non fancy, not shiny BCG will definitely be another one of these.

This won’t be of too much help as I haven’t actually used this yet, but...
I just got this earlier. I realize that this won’t be too much help yet though as I haven’t even fired it yet. But, what I can tell you is that it feels nice and solid, has a lot of thick material at the rear of the carrier. Everything seems to be fine and all of the moving parts seem to be fitted properly. And considering the low price, it feels to be worth the money. But considering my lack of actually using it, I recommend you check out some of these other comments on here as well.

Buy the premium carrier!
I have bought from palmetto for years and always top product.I bought this carrier with a deal including ammo.Tried it in new build that i have been doing for years and after 150 rounds of pmc i had problems pulled carrier apart gas rings wore out.I put 1 piece ring in another 200 rounds wore out the bolt test when turned bolt down would fall out. [ USGI test ] The bore of the carrier was rough and under sized.I had a premium carrier switched all the parts over perfect after 500 rounds. All the parts are great the carrier is the problem. Palmetto said send it back. GREAT COMPANY but for what i had in it i tossed it and will order a premium one and i still will buy all my parts from palmetto.Spend the extra few bucks and buy the top of the line premium one.

BCG Sticking
This BCG came as part of a complete upper that I purchased to go with my complete PSA lower. When I received all of my parts I cleaned and lubed it somewhere in-between what others do not dripping with oil and not completely wiped dry. It was oiled enough.
From the first shot I had to chamber the round by hand because it was sticking. I took it to my local PSA and the manager dumped a boat full of oil in it and after 10 or so rounds it fired correctly although super wet with oil. He told me it was fine and just needed oil.

I fired the gun the next day and it fired fine for 4 rounds then sticking again. I went to a friend who has many ar-15's and he offered me 2 stock BCG's that have never been used to test with. Each one cycled perfectly. When I replaced it with mine it stuck again.

I took it back to PSA with this information. They said they could replace the BCG or send it to the manufacturer and I said I would like a new BCG. After the salesman spoke with his manager they would not replace it and told me it just needed "broken in".

So I purchased a new BCG not from PSA and it works fine.

Pizza hut did a survey once that proved that for every unsatisfied customer they had they lost 300 potential sales.

This would have been an easy fix and many more sales from a satisfied customer. PSA had nothing to loose by replacing my BCG and sending me on my way.

Good Mil Spec Bolt Carrier Group
I build ARs as a hobby. I have stripped and inspected hundreds over the last few years. This bolt carrier group has performed very well for me. The carrier is of the heavier M16 design which is preferred for service rifle high pressure loads. The several I own all perform very well.

I consider most AR parts as just parts easily and inexpensively replaced (The barrel and trigger excepted). I keep spare parts such as gas rings pins and springs on hand at all times. I frequently carry a spare bolt when at a match because it is far easier to swap out a bolt than to strip one and replace an extractor in the field.

If you want to build rifles for what ever reason keep a spare parts kit and a proper set of tools lube the rifle (wet! if in doubt lube some more) and quit wining about the failure of a $2.00 part on your first trip to the range. Learn how to make the repair the problem and move on.

This BCG has proven to be an excellent value to me.

AR15 Build Bolt Carrier Group
Just built another AR using PSA blem lower and mid-length upper assembly along this this 35099 bolt carrier group. It runs perfectly as I expected from previous bolt groups from PSA. I guess a person can spend a lot more money if they want to but this is an absolutely well made and functioning bolt group in my opinion. I can use the saved money for more ammo or accessories! I have been buying guns and ammo and now build uppers and lowers and accessories from PSA for over a couple of years now. Never disappointed with PSA. Love them! Just wish with the thousands of $ spent with them I would receive a coupon or discount from time to time so I could order some more! Thanks PSA!
