Palmetto State Armory is proud to announce the 1911 Pistol line with our PSA Blue Premium 1911.    This is not your basic 1911, this model comes loaded with features found on higher priced models:  Front and rear slide serations, a skeletonized trigger, Combat hammer, beaver tail grip safety, extended thumb safety, and high visibility 3 dot sights.  While a production gun, the crisp trigger, and close tolerances give the look and feel of a hand fitted pistol, while retaining the reliability of a production weapon.

We start with a carbon steel frame,  and add a forged 4140 steel slide, both deep blued for durability.  The stainless steel barrel is hand fitted for high reliability and solid lockup.  The skeletonized trigger has an adjustable stop, and the thumb and grip safeties are extended for easier use.

From its polished sides to its subdued branding, the PSA Blue Premium 1911 delivers the value Palmetto State Armory customers have come to expect.

Outstanding Pistol & Value
I purchased the Blue Premium Blem with free shipping a few months ago and just made it to the range yesterday. I always clean my new guns before shooting and this was no exception. New guns are usually very dirty from the factory and this was also. I broke it down and cleaned it up with Hoppes then lubed everything with a good gun oil. I also took the firing pin and spring out and cleaned them and the firing pin channel (very dirty). I could tell the weapon was test fired. PSA mentions that their 1911s have tight tolerances and this is very true with this gun. I am very comfortable with 1911s. One of my first guns was a Colt Government Model Series 80 and I carried a 1911 in the Army as an Armor Officer in the late 80s early 90s. To eliminate any magazine issues I only used 1911 mags with anti-tilt followers. The one mag supplied with the gun is a basic 7 round 1911 mag with a PSA logo which is cool. It does have a anti-tilt follower and it functioned perfectly as the gun broke in. I used this mag along with some Wilson Combat 47D's and a Mecgar. I put around 200 rounds of 230 grain ball and mixed in some Golden Saber hollow points as well. Initially I had trouble getting the gun to go into battery and I also had trouble getting some of the Wilson mags to insert all the way. The gun is really tight as mentioned earlier. I also had several failure to feeds initially. I had zero failure to ejects. After about 9 mags the gun started functioning flawlessly. This gun is very accurate and smooth shooting. I mixed in the hollow points after the gun started running smoothly and it digested them without a hitch. This gun is everything I wanted in a 1911. It is a beautiful gun to look at is American made (I think and hope) and shoots great. I can't wait to get back out to the range. I have never had any issues with PSA and love the fact that they are in South Carolina. This is my first review ever. I have also built two of their M4 Rifles and would trust them with my life.
