Well what do you know
Well what do you know ol Coonus who complained that this mag is not compatible with M118LR cartridges was proven correct. This magazine MAG291 was advertised in the beginning to replace MAG243. The advertised improvement was that it would work with the M118LR cartridge. That statement has since been removed due to several people like me stating the opposite. I was ridiculed by others that I didn't know how to load a mag or that the reason the bullets wont fit in the magazine was because there was an LWRC sitting in the gun safe. Now I see the newest SR-25 Magpul mag MAG577 designed specifically to work with the M118LR 175g cartridge (and it actually does!) Hard to believe a problem this basic slipped by so many people.

Get the 25 round window mag for long ammo
Get the 25 round P Mag for longer ammo. The description states that it is designed to accommodate longer ammo at the cost of possibly not being drop free. In all fairness the description for the 20 round mag should indicate for standard length ammo only.

The Gold Standard
Magpul PMAGs in my opinion are the gold standard by which all other magazines are compared. They are lightweight and dependable. I use the exclusively in my PSA AR-10. I have used them with steel and brass cased ammo. FMJ and soft points. Not a single problem. $20 is the normal price for these magazines. If you search the internet you might be able to find them cheaper. But what is a couple more dollars when you are spending $$$ for new uppers and lowers. Make it easy on yourself and just order them from PSA.
