Well over a thousand rounds through it without one problem. (Zero FTF or FTE) Could not be happier with this purchase. I have recommended this firearm to several friends. (Some are starting to wonder if I get kickbacks from Springfield) My wife has enjoyed this firearm and has grown very comfortable shooting it. The weight keeps the gun recoil in check and the 4" barrel gives very solid accuracy for the shooter. This is a great gun for a new shooter. The 9mm allows for cheap range time. The XD is super easy to maintain with no problems to diagnose that could create a challenge or unnerving situation for a newbie at the range. (Posted on 12/20/12)

Xd 9 4"service model FDE 3200+ rounds Review by dwsas@yahoo.com

I bought 3 of these pistols. My main everyday cary workhorse is the Xd 9 4"service model in FDE .I have put 3200 rounds through my carry pistol without a single malfunction of any kind. The first session out of the box was 500 Silver Bear rounds break in ammo for each pistol, and no malfunctions were experienced in any of the three guns. The accuracy out of the box was spot on and deadly at 25m.
The ammunition was varried and much of it very cheap stuff. Silver Bear 145gn JHP, Winchester White box NATO 124gn FMJ, (old)-Seller & Bellot 115gn FMJ, Federal Hydra shock Tactical 124gn +P+ JHP, Winchester Ranger 147gn SXT BHP & Ranger 124gn FMJ, and CCI Blazer 115gn FMJ. and 15 reloads I found in a box in my garage!!!!!!
I have not had a FTFire, FTFeed,FTEject,Double feed, or any thing, even limp wristing the gun on purpose yields no malfunctions.
I have fired it from morning to night without cleaning it and after dropping the mags in sand and mud, picked them up and quickly refilled them for the next round of targets with no issues.This firearm, as a total package, has out-performed all of my other handguns, from my Tarus PT 92 AF & PT 908, Desert Eagle .357mag, Astra A-80 .45ACP, CDC .45ACP Officers Model, to my Kimber Ultra .45ACP1911.
I trust my life to my skills, but a sidearm like this sure helps. (Posted on 12/6/12)

Great gun Review by James

I did a lot of research before I bought this gun and I am glad I went with it. I bought this gun in June and have put 300 rounds through it so far. It shoots great right out of the box. Shooting 4 inch pattern at 15 yards. I love this gun .Springfield in my opinion has one of the best handguns 0n the market with there XD Series. (Posted on 7/15/12)

I did some research on this gun before i went to buy and after seeing the gun in person and having it in my hands I decided it would be the right choice for me. I got it home and checked over it good and then went to the range on sunday what a great gun and a great deal I've shot alot of guns and this gun shoots as well as any of them. I was looking for a dependable carry gun that wasn't overly expensive and was surprised at how good it shot my wife has shot it and she likes it too I shot about 75 rounds through it and no problems all in all great gun and priced right (Posted on 2/13/12)
