Can the barrel extension and front sight be removed to replace with a m-loc style hand-guard?
Audie H on May 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You would have to change the gas block. A2 front side should have 2 pins to remove. I did this to my ks47.
Far as the barrel extension goes. If you remove it. It would become a class 3 SBR ( short barreled rifle ). I would choose a other upper or another rifle myself.
does it accept 223?
Paul C on Apr 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hey Paul, Yes, it does accept 223 along with 556.
Does this come with a magazine?
Aaron on May 30, 2018
Will these accept ar mags? New to these, thanks!
Nick D on May 10, 2018
I have never had a problem with Meatal Mil Spec or any P mags it functions fine, just remember not to over load your mags as can happen. 29 is always better than 30 for sure mag placement.
Does this have sights?
Brokenarrow on Jun 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Front sight only. Some optics are impeded by the front post also. Suggest the carry handle with sight option.
How can I tell if this gun has a heavy barrel? Legal in Maryland?

Great rifle, shoots sweet. My only gripe is the original folding stock collapsed after every shot. Either the holes in the buffer tube weren't machined right or the stock was defective......anyway, replaced folding stock with a fixed Magpul and problem solved.

PSA Freedom Rifle M4 clone
Well made, everything looks milspec, no failures of any kind, well worth the money. The only issue I experienced was the holes in the buffer tube were too small for the buttstock pin to fit into. The rifle was unusable, as the recoil collapsed the stock to its most retracted position. As I was on a camping trip. I had to enlarge two of the holes to be able to use it. I will now need to get a milspec tube and replace the one on the rifle. Not a big deal, but annoying. Other than that, it's all good!

I have fired over 500 of 5.56 rounds with no problem and over 300 of .223 rounds with no problem. I would like to have the opportunity to put more rounds through my PSA 16 but the ammo is a little expensive. Customizing the PSA 16 is a little of a pain because the front post sight is a little harder to remove then other rifles it is possible it just gonna take a little extra work.

I got much more than what I paid for
I received my rifle In just a few days after I ordered it. When I first inspected it I realized that I got much more than what I paid for. This rifle is well built and as I found out the first time that I sighted it in...extremely accurate. This rifle shot smoothly and efficiently And without any hiccups whatsoever. Since this model did not come with the rear sight I invested in an inexpensive "Sniper AR-15 Detachable Carry Handle" sight. Because I am old school I wanted to see how it would shoot with an iron sight and it did not disappoint me whatsoever!

I am looking forward to a red Dot or a scope in the future. All in all this is a superb rifle for the price. The only con was that it wasn't packaged well and was dropped during shipment and the front sight has a small ding in it.

The rifle was nicely packed The trigger pull was good. It was a little rough in the beginning when firing but after awhile was smooth, i guess it needed a break in. Overall was pleased with the purchase.

PSA 16" Freedom rifle...don't fear the Freedom.
Fair price for a fair rifle.
Read the other opinions online and felt confident enough for purchase. It's a basic rifle, finish is good but not the best, function with silver bear 55gr. was without issue...we shot between 200-300 rounds with 1-2 mag dumps. I misfire with a solid dent in the primer (ammo's fault). Provided PMag locked in good and Brownell's aluminum mags worked without issue. After shooting rifle rattled a little more than new. Seemed accurate enough to about 100 yards with open sights (add about 70$ to your purchase price if you buy psa carry handle). Did not do any dead rest target shooting so no comment to fine accuracy but immediately seemed more accurate than a rifle that rhymes with skinny moreteen. Your results may vary. Happy shooting and 2A protects the rest.

Good quality rifles for the price
I bought two of the freedom model rifles for my sons. I have another freedom rifle with the stainless steel heavy barrel as well. The rifles are well built. After a quick cleaning we took the 2 new ones to the range. I had purchased and installed the rear flip up sights. After sighting in the iron sights, the boys ran a couple hundred rounds through each rifle. No issues with either rifle and a case of cheap soda cans was quickly dispatched.
These are good , entry level rifles that they can customize however they want. Good quality for the price.
