Very good product
This was my first AR build and all went well except for there being a burr on the hammer. The burr was catching and not allowing the hammer to fully reset. Had to file the burr down just a tiny bit and since then it has gone 500+ rounds without a misfire. Built it on an aero precision lower and it now looks and performs flawlessly. Sub 2 moa with iron sights.

Well done PSA
After doing hours of searching for the best deal and even talking with some guys on arf.com I decided to pull the trigger on this kit. When you place the order it tells you that it will take 7 days to leave the warehouse but not mine! I had mine in a week! The parts are fantastic and everything looks to be in order. Very happy I went with PSA.

Love this rifle
Went together perfect. Shoots like butter. What else could you ask for. Slipped a Vortex Strikefire II on it. Will co-witness with a flip up rear site lots of fun at the range can't wait to plink on open ground.

Beautiful Rifle Attractive Price
Looking for an AR that's less than $800 comes with some mid to high end features and doesnt weigh 8 lbs? Here's a great way to have that rifle - by starting it with this kit. Simply add your choice of lower receiver and sights install the parts kit and mate it to the barrelled upper; you now own a nice rifle with modern features (and Magpul hardware) for less than most entry level ARs.

Mine went together with hardly a hiccup and this was my very first rifle. The roll pins were the only real challenge; everything else was was as easy as lego bricks.

I have yet to buy sights and test the accuracy and with very minimal trigger time I expect the shooting ability of this rifle to be limited by me.

If you want a low-cost rifle with surprisingly good features this kit is a great way to start. Thanks PSA!

Can't beat it with a stick!
Excellent quality and value. Extremely versatile platform. Perfect start for 3 gun...add a good trigger and a comp and you're set.

Excellent Value Good Quality Product
This rifle kit was added to an Anderson lower to form my first AR15. Prior to this I've only handled and shot an M16A2 but with the abundance of tutorials and videos available in addition to my mechanical experience I knew building a lower receiver would be within my abilities.

The upper came fully assembled with good alignment between the handguard and receiver rails. The BCG and charge handle were zip tied loosely into place.

Everything for the lower came organized in sealed bags; magpul parts were together trigger group came in its own bag and the springs and small h/w were in another bag.
Once I got it all opened I just pulled up my preferred tutorial video and sailed through it; my only hang up was with the mag release pin which did not want to go in straight(recommend some kind of tape to protect the outside of the buffer tube ring if you plan to use a punch). The whole process took me about 2 hours; I don't own a vice so this could have went alot faster but I just took my time and did each step right.

I'm very happy with the looks and quality of the components considering the price I paid. There is a slight amount of play between receivers but nothing I'm concerned about. The MLok system works great with the AFG I added and the total weight sans optics is 6.2 lbs. The trigger is very gritty and didn't want to reset the first few times I cycled it; a few drops of lube fixed that.

I will update after a trip to the local range with my group results (expecting mediocre but I did earn an expert marksman ribbon a few years ago). So far I'd definitely by it again.

Quality of parts and finish far exceeds kits costing much more.
I recently took a chance at least that's what I thought never having ordered from PDA before but boy was I pleasantly suprised with the quality and finish of these kits. I received my kits 4 days from the time they shipped so it was quick shipping I was so happy with the whole process that I already ordered another kit this time a 20 inch and can forsee more in future.

Excellent choice in a reasonably priced kit
This was my first ever ar-15 build and I was extremely pleased with this kit. I gathered together the documentation I needed to put together my ar-15 and started in on the build on a Saturday morning. Everything went exactly as planned and fit very well. I used a stripped Anderson lower to complete the parts list.

Assembly was very easy everything fit well There were a few very minor areas where things needed slight adjustment to fit correctly but I would assume any kit will have those types of issues. It was nothing serious just removing a tiny burr from a few of the pieces to get everything to fit easily.

After everything went together I removed the bolt carrier group and lubed it and the areas of the upper where it made contact to ensure the BCG was moving very freely. The trigger group was perfect but did need to be cleaned and lubed before it went together. I was going to polish it but upon inspection it was perfect and needed nothing.

This is a great kit to start out if you want a free float rail in the first place and not bother upgrading the plain one on the cheaper kit. This was a perfect starting kit for me.

After getting it all together I took it down to the range and sighted it in it shot perfectly right out of the gate not a single problem. 100% functionality and accuracy was surprisingly good. I got 1 MOA groups at 100 yards what more could you ask for?

Some people out there would say get chrome lined barrel or CHF but I like the stainless gives good accuracy.

If you want a high quality gun for less than entry level manufactured brand name gun Palmetto State Armory has you covered with this rifle kit. This kit easily goes up against the like of S&W and Colt beating them in quality and features for less money.

Just take your time putting it together adjust for fit where needed and you won't go wrong.
