Shoots extremely well Great price Looks GREAT
This was my first build of an AR-15 and the process from start to finish could NOT have gone better.
The price of what I got was far less than it would have been if I had bought the rifle whole.
At this point I have put close to 250 rounds though it with zero issues whatsoever. It is accurate; very good groups at 100 yards with American Eagle 223. Trigger is great for a factory trigger. Storage compartments on the grip and stock are a nice touch. I would buy again.

First time AR owner / build
First AR build using Aero Precision lower. Very happy lot of fun to shoot. Has been reliable since the first round no jams. One failure to feed that was my fault for riding the charging handle home. 370 rounds before the second cleaning since assembly with no issues.

Only thing I switched out was the bolt release and trigger guard roll pins. Ordered some coiled pins instead of using the split rolled pins. This was just from reading about easier installation/removal if parts will be upgraded or changed later.

great for the money needed break in
I'll address the dirt first since I know thats what worried buyers are looking for - any reason to be afraid.

Let me start off by saying this i a fantastic product and the only "issue" is normal in the AR platform from this $500 kit (4th of july sale $500 shipped)all the way up to my custom $1800 Adams Arms piston gun and beyond... it just needed break in. the first 2 rounds (all I load into the first magazine specifically for break in) went fine and the bolt locked back as intended. Then I loaded a full magazine and the very first round jammed. Im blaming that round since it has now fired 120 rounds in rapid succession without problem. Also to be fair I've only been firing Tula which doesnt have the best reputation. I feel the problem was that round since it wouldnt even chamber before sticking HARD. Also within the first 60-80 rounds the first few cases were barely ejecting a few inches from the gun. Not even a foot and pretty far back (5 o clock position) after the first few boxes ran through it the gun now ejects a few feet which is acceptable. The gun hasnt given me any more trouble since that 3rd round but its still kicking the rounds out kinda far back (4 o clock now) but I attribute that to the weak gas seal that steel case ammo creates. I'm sure with brass it would be in the 2:30-3:30 position as intended. Overall I think this was an excellent purchase and absolutely worth every penny. The stock is wonderful and one of the better stocks Magpul has ever made. No wobble. It's rock solid which is great since thats why i used to avoid collapsible stocks but this one is great. I used a Tactical Machining 80 percent lower to finish this build and with the compliance parts (Im in california) this build cost me less than $575 total. Fantastic value and remember the break in is normal and I bet that one round was out of spec. Be confident in this purchase you wont regret it.

My first AR build
Ordered on 4th of July sale. Good price lots of upgrades.
Shipping was timely and complete.
I spent considerable time reviewing forums and videos on the best combination of components various manufacturers (mixed reviews on PSA) and assembly instructions (talk about diversity).
Assembly went well overall. About 4 hours. The only issue was with the roll pin on the Magpul trigger guard. It would not go all the way in and could not be driven out. After many minutes of careful but heavy hammer blows it finally was driven in and I did not break the wings on the trigger guard lower assembly thanks to gun block. I felt the components were up to spec and machining and finish were good.
I have placed about 200 rounds down range. Gun is tight and after a short zeroing end process I am shooting respectable groups for an old guy with old eyes using iron sights.
Just added a Nikon P223 3-9x40 scope and rings. Ready to head back to the range and tighten up those groups with aid for these old eyes.

PS - I also ordered my stripped lower on-line at the urging of a customer svc rep to insure I got the sale price. I live in the greater Columbia SC area and the PSA store was my FFL agent for physical pickup. Unbeknownst to me the retail store (1 bock from the warehouse location) apparently only process a limited number of FFL pickups per day. Thus I waited 8 days from completion of the processing of the order by the warehouse for the store to call and advise that I could pickup my lower. What was frustrating is that I received the rest of my build a number of days earlier. Equally frustrating is had I not ordered the lower online I could have walked into the store at any time and taken a stripped lower out of inventory at the same price completed the FFL forms and head home to complete my build.
Awesome!
Ok first off the only experience I have with the AR platform is my m16 a2 rifle I had in the army in the early 90s which was junk compared to this rifle kit. I received this kit within a week which was sooner than expected considering how much business this company does. Mounted this on top of stag lower receiver and hardly any wiggle at all a very nice fit. Sprayed a little clp on bolt cycled the action a few times and fired a 100 rounds through it with no jams or malfunctions. Once I sighted the rifle in at 25 yards I was getting 3-4 inch groups at a 100 yards using cheap federal 55 grain ammo from Walmart using nothing but a magpul backup sight. I have not fired this type of rifle in 24 years so I'm sure my groups will get better! The magpul furniture that comes with this rifle has a very durable feel way better than anything I ever had in the military! My philosophy of use for this rifle is a weapon that is reliable accurate and take a licking and keep on ticking this rifle fits the bill!
