love the loose chamber for using that crap tulammo
I love the looseness of the chamber in this upper.i have three of these uppers and the looseness of the chamber makes it super reliable to feed anything I put in it.of course it will feed brass all day long but I bought 2 of these a while back and just recently I bought one to replace my old bushmaster upper.the main reason I like the looseness of the chamber is because I shoot a lot of steel cased ammo and most of it is tulammo that would always get stuck in the chamber of my bushmaster.but with this upper I have had just good luck but as a I always do make sure you run a patch with some lube in the chamber or you can still get some steel cased stuck too but they are easily pushed out.but if you lube the chamber you won't have a problem at all and can run that crappy tulammo all day long.

Good Solid Upper
This was my first purchase from PSA and I was skeptical. At the price it seemed like one of those "too good to be true" deals. Finished the carbine with a Spike's Tactical BCG and CMMG lower that had been gathering dust for some time and added a SPARC AR red dot sight (another outstanding bargain from PSA). The carbine functions perfectly and shoots quarter size groups at fifty yards. Couldn't be happier. I subsequently purchased the Dissipator kit with Magpul furniture and have had the same experience. Great shooter at a great price. I'm a confirmed PSA customer.

Melonite or Nitride is a metal treatment not a coating.
I like the fact that PSA is offering many of their uppers with Melonite finished barrels which I think is just as good as a chrome lined barrel if not better in some ways. Some seem to think it is a coating which it is not. It is a metal hardening treatment that adds additional nitrogen and carbon into (about 4-8 thousandths of inch deep) the surface of the barrel creating sort of a hard shell inside and out. Superior to any coating IMO.

Good Affordable Quality Item.
I ordered this upper intending to build a relatively plain AR to add to my collection. Shipping was amazing (i ordered wednesday and received on friday). I ordered all of my parts from PSA with the sole exception of the stripped lower and the trigger group which was an anderson and a POF single stage (its what my gun store had). Fit and finish (except for one thing which i will discuss later) was amazing and far exceeded my expectations. I took the completed rifle to the range for a zero and this is where i found the problem. I realized when i got there that the front sight post was slightly canted to the left i will be calling to see if PSA can fix it which i am sure they will. I decided to go ahead and zero the rifle anyway to see if there would be any issues. The target used was a standard military 300m zero target placed at 25m. Within 6 rounds i had zeroed shot another three to confirm. No issues there. Then i took it out to some distance 100m 200 then 300. Absolutely no issues and i was hitting with about the same accuracy as i would expect from the FN M-4 i am issued in the Army i wasn't scientific to be honest i was shooting at silhouettes ... I was very pleased that my budget build seemed to perform as well as an issued rifle. Anyway i moved on because i wanted to do a quick reliability test which was some "just for fun" Mag dumps at 25 - 50m. Rifle was flawless accurate and i could tell a definite difference in reduced muzzle rise from this mid length gas system as opposed to a carbine length i was used to (use of a PSA AR15 H3 BUFFER - 1215 may have also helped with this). Overall i am very pleased with the quality and affordability of a very solid and cost effective upper despite the one minor flaw i will happily suggest PSA parts to my friends and will be buying from them again!

Poor quality build
Came quick that's about it. The front sight is severely canted to the left.

Good upper for the money
Purchase this for a recent build. I've only put about 150 rounds through it but I've had no issues and accuracy has been good 2 moa with iron sights and 55gr bullets. I'd recommend this upper for a general purpose build the price is right and reliability is there.

Not bad for the Money
The fit and finish is quite decent and the accuracy is typical for any given ammo type. I'd rate it similar to other uppers of similar cost. The front sight was a bit short for a carry handle rear sight but that's normally true for F marked sights. The finish on the flash hider doesn't match the barrel so if you have a pet peeve about that you'll have to endure. I've experienced no failures in the first 500 rounds and don't expect to unless I refuse to maintain it and shoot several thousand more on end. It would make a fine first AR build upper probably best topped with irons or a dot sight. If all you shoot is 55gr fmj then it wouldn't make any sense to buy anything more expensive.
