Got it out of the box, put together with my Ruger lower and to my range. Using Federal 62 grain soft points for deer hunting this fall. If I miss the deer it is not the rifle problem. Shot 1 1/2 groups for me and I really was not trying to be that tight with the groups. Just fine for what it is for.

After a lengthy break-up with the AR platform, I got the itch to build an inexpensive, longer-range gun, that was cheap to shoot. I reconciled my prior disdain, and grabbed a "classic" blem lower, one of these uppers, an eBay bipod, Nikon m233 mount, and Leupold vx-2 3-9x40. Assembled and threw it in the safe for 3 mos, and finally got it out to shoot today, and....WOW. Don't even know how, but I was picking off clays on a mountain side @ 100~150 yds consistently w/ 62 gr. Tula, with 4 clicks up on my turret. Pleasant to shoot, minimal recoil, yet not a bear to carry. Nice, tight specs. Thank God for PSA and their prices w/ quality. Have 2 more uppers coming, and 2 lowers waiting to be clapped together. Thanks for showing me an enjoyable, good running, affordable AR.

Haven't shot it yet but anxious to do so once my surgery is complete and I'm healed, the only issue I can see right now is my scope is visibly cocked to the side I can see this visual by looking top down on the upper and also from the back. Not sure if the front handguards are squared with the upper receiver or WTF is the issue. I've tried 3 diff site bases and the all cocktail the front of the scope to the right!! I'm no newbie to the AR platform and have built over 12 of them in various calibers and have always wanted a 24" well maybe I should have saved my money and bought ammo instead of this upper if it's not going to allow me yo squart my scope to the top! I got pisses and put it back in the box sense me surgery is in 2 days. I'll write more once I get shooting and I changet out the sight base

It turned out my scope was the problem with my earlier post. I bought a new Scheel's brand 6-24x50 with a Burris P.E.P.R. one piece mount. This thing is a tack driver. I switched over to 55gn FMJ bullets with 26 gns BL-C (2) powder and am holding under 1" groups at 150 yards. This is my third Palmetto upper and it's safe to say I will be a lifelong customer. You can't get a better upper for the money.

My 3rd PSA upper and loving it Review by Dano

I ordered this on a whim while lying in bed looking at the daily deal. I always wanted a 24" upper. Was really looking for a heavy barrel but thought "what the h***". That was on a Thursday night, the upper, the charging handle and bolt carrier group shipped the next day. I received these today (Wednesday). The shipping speed has improved DRASTICALLY since my last PSA purchase and I was pleasantly surprised. As for the upper I installed it on a lower I had paired with a PSA dissapator I previously purchased. It is an Anderson with a DPMS parts kit and a Colt fixed A2 stock. For glass I installed a Nikkon 6-18 x 40 Buckmaster with bullet drop compensator. I am shooting hand loads with 75 gn Hornady A max with 26 gn BL-C (2) powder. There was a 35 mph wind with gusts up to 50 today while I tried to sight it in on paper. Needless to say it was frustrating but once I got it dialed in I took to the steel targets on my private range and did very well at 200' and 300'. I even reached out to 850' and tried to hit a rock in the stubble field but North Dakota wind saw to it I was unsuccessful at that. I am very anxious to get out on a night with less wind and see how this thing will hold zero on paper. I have a prairie dog problem I'm interested in employing this upper for.
