Great rifle Review by Ryan

I looked at a few reviews before purchasing this rifle. The most common complaint was that the rifle had a feed issue. So far I nhrmc only have a couple hundred rounds through it but no feed issues. This rifle is fantastic after I zeroed in my 3x9 scope that I put on it I was hitting a golf ball at 200yds with no problem. It shoots like a dream. I plan on trying to take it out to 800yds so we will see. Can't beat this rifle or the price.

Always wanted an AR10 but was never in the position to spend 1500+ on a rifle. I am so happy I waited and researched and decided to go with palmetto state armory. I have purchased and held various builds of the ar15 and only a handful have struck me as having solid lasting build quality the same heavy solid feeling of this rifle. Its beauty is only matched by its performance, I have put 200 rounds through the rifle so far and it cycles flawlessly. This does not feel like a range rifle, this feels like a war rifle in terms of the build quality and my confidence that it will remain accurate and functioning for a long long time between cleaning and oiling if the situation were to present it self. Im not a gun expert nor a hunting expert I try to research as much as possible to find the firearms I know I will enjoy, are reliable, accurate and a value, this firearm met and exceeded all my expectations. I find my self begrudgingly telling people about the rifle often because I get so many questions/ compliments and (in secret)i don't want to see any one else with such a special find. What a great looking and feeling rifle I am looking forward to getting a great scope and see how it performs at 300+ yards, I am confident the barrel length and twist will give me lots of accuracy in this caliber. I had never held a PSA firearm before, only heard good things, now I am fully confident in PSA and look forward to buying a few more firearms. thank you

Even after reading some negative reviews about PA10's online I bought this rifle. Before shooting I installed POF's 4.5# trigger. I installed a Bushnell AR 308 4-18 scope using Redfields SPR mount. At the range I was able to get about 2MOA out of ball ammo. After the fifth mag the bolt would not stay open on last shot. I was using a DPMS SR25 mag. The Bolt would stay open If I used a PMAG, but I soon as I dropped the mag the bolt would slam home. I email PSA about this issue, in which a guy named Dylan responded the next day. He said that there has been an issue with some of these and it would need to be sent back for repair or replacement. I did not want to send it back. I emailed back asking if there was a simple fix to this. He said that the bolt catch had excess material not allowing it to travel far enough. I removed about .035 inch from the bolt catch and now it works fine. For the rest of the rifle, the staking on the gas key and the castle nut could be better, pivot and take down pins have some play in them. The rifle is over gassed, so it ate everything I fed it including Russian steel. The way I see it for an AR10 pattern rifle with the 416r ss barrel,Magpul ASC-l butt stock, 15 MLOK rail and one 25 round PMAG for about $700 I am happy with it. I've other AR10 pattern rifles costing more than three times as much that are not three times the rifle. I think this rifle is capable of much better accuracy given the right ammo and shooter. Your mileage may vary.
