I don't get the hoopla. Color me unimpressed
First PSA is always a pleasure to deal with. I recommend this website to everybody who asks about online shopping for firearms or equipment. We bought them when they were on sale for 299. I have nothing but love for Palmetto but the gun is WAY over rated.

My wife and I both bought one for concealed carry. My wife's has had less than 100 rounds through it. Mine is shot weekly. In that it is concealable it is outstanding. It is small and can be worn without leaving a print But you better have your throwing arm in shape because that may be the ONLY way this thing might help you to defend yourself. BOTH guns have been back to Ruger for light strike and failure to fire. My wife just got her's back and it hasn't been shot since. Mine is starting to demonstrate the same symptoms that it did before it stopped firing altogether.

There are (presumably) better subcompact options out there. 2 for 2 tell me this thing is unreliable and the reviews previously written were based on initial reactions. I'd love to hear from someone who's sent 500 rounds down the pipe and haven't had troubles.

Great little gun
Love my new Ruger LC9S. I fired 100 rds so far with no issues. Very reliable for a carry gun and it's a 9MM. Shooting it a lot hurts my hand just like any small pocket gun. the HOGUE grip sleeve #18400 is a must. Also use the LC9 9 round mag as a backup mag. I like it so much that when PSA lowered the price on the LC9S PRO I bought another one. I haven't fired it yet but the first thing did was install a HOGUE grip on it.

I love the Ruger LC9S. I got mine at Christmas and have shot 500 + rounds without a single malfunction. Several reviewers have rated the price lower than 5 stars since Ruger only includes one magazine. I bought it on sale from PSA at a great price and bought additional mags with the savings. The pistol is easy to conceal and very light weight. I carry it in a front pocket holster and it does not print. My eyes are getting old. I had a hard time seeing the front site the first time I shot the pistol. After a couple hundred rounds I was able to get good groupings on the 7 yard range. However I am going to install ProGlo Sights to help pick up the front sight. The magazine safety is not a problem and I no longer use the safety. I now understand why this gun is so popular and PSA is out of stock. I have bought two pistols and cases of ammo from Palmetto State Armory. They are great company you can trust.

Outstanding Concealed Carry Pistol
I bought my Ruger LC9S from Palmetto State Armory. I got a great sale price. Like other reviewers I believe Ruger should provide more than one 7 round magazine. I saved money on the purchase price and bought magazines. Therefore I rated the Price 5 Stars. I am very impressed with the ability to conceal the pistol in a pocket holster. I have huge hands and installed a Talon grip and extract Talon rubberized material to build up the grip. The Talon tape made a large improvement in my shooting. I have shot 500 rounds without a single FTF or FTE. I don't have a problem taking the gun apart for cleaning. The disassembly pin is easy to remove. On my third trip to the range I was getting 3-4 inch groups from 7 yards. I find the slide release difficult to use - it takes a lot of effort to release it. If it doesn't loosen with use I will contact Ruger. I really like this weapon. It is everything I hoped it would be. I enjoy shopping at PSA. I have bought pistols magazines and cases of ammunition. Their service is always outstanding!

Great 9mm Pistol
I bought my Christmas Present - a Ruger LC9S from PSA. I have been to the range twice since Christmas. This is a wonderful little gun. I have huge hands and installed a Talon grip and additional Talon rubberized material to build up the grip. It really helps. I have gone through 400 rounds and have no problems with malfunctions using a variety of ammunition. I rated the Price at 5 stars as I bought the weapon on sale from PSA. I join those who complain Ruger only provides one seven round magazine at their $450 retail price. I purchased additional magazines. The first time I fired my LC9S it took a while to get decent results. I added the Talon Grips on my second trip and did much better- 75 % in a four inch group at 7 yards. The gun is very concealable! I bought a DeSantis pocket holster and it fits perfectly even when I'm wearing jeans. This is not the first gun I've bought from PSA. I also buy ammunition from them. They are clearly one of the best online retailers for those of us interested in shooting. I have never had a bad experience with PSA. If you want a great small concealable 9mm pistol buy the Ruger LC9S. I have a S&W 9mm Shield - another great gun but not a pocket pistol.

Great conceal weapon
Picked the lc9s up at my FFL and shot about 150 rounds right away. It feels good in the hands but I need more practice on accuracy. It is a well made firearm. I am still more accurate with my SR9 but I am very happy with it. It should serve me well.

Love my LC9S
Outstanding concealed carry weapon. Great accuracy. I too think that 2 mags should be included for the money. Ruger's improved 9 rd mags are super. Only one FTL in first 300 rds. Think it was my floppy wrist.

Very close to being the perfect concealed carry gun!
This gun is excellent in every way that matters to me. I have fired about 100 rounds through it so far (had it about a month) and I have not had a single problem with it no FTF no FTE nothing. It is just the right size for concealed carry I have had it in both khaki shorts and trousers in the pocket with a sticky holster and it doesn't imprint at all. It's not as light as the LCP (for one thing it's just a hair larger) but it is so light and manageable that it would be very easy to forget you even have it on you! (NOTE: You never ever ever forget that you are carrying!!!) The trigger pull is so smooth and crisp that I couldn't believe it at first. No complaints about the safety or the magazine release have had no problems with either one. The recoil is very light for this size of gun. For me this is everything that the LCP wasn't smooth tight light and very accurate. I could fire 50 rounds through this gun and not even work up a sweat. Get one of these and carry it!

Shoots so well it's hard to remember it's a small & concealable 9mm
I shot the Glock 43 one day and the Ruger LC9S the next. I liked the Ruger LC9S so much I bought it. My duty pistol is a 1911 so I like the LC9S' thumb safety. The only real time the magazine safety is a pain is when you're trying to show the LC9S to someone else. I work with a lot of new shooters in CCW classes and many have shot their LC9S (or mine) very well on their first range exposure. The LC9S points naturally the recoil is very manageable and the gun is very accurate. What's not to night sights and THE MAGAZINE PRICES. Write or e-mail the Ruger CEO and let him know just how OUTRAGOUS Ruger's magazine prices are. Then buy your around and buy you magazines FROM ANYONE ELSE BUT RUGER. The LC9S is worth the extra effort. Great small concealable 9mm.

had to buy it at PSA's sale price!
I enjoy the crisp striker actuating trigger. Size is comparable to many smaller 9mm's on the market. Priced well when I purchased mine (on sale abnormally low priced). The older (LC9 vs LC9s) non-striker model was snappier and difficult to shoot with a terrible trigger. The LC9s has fixed these problems to a large degree.
