Interesting Previous Review
I've bought and shot A LOT of the Speer Gold Dot 45 ACP in 100 rd box. Haven't experienced the questionable storage issues above. I like the ballistics being close to my practice FMJ it hits in the same holes and is comfortable to shoot in my CC weapon This has become my carry ammo. Just as soon as "Momma" cools off from my last ammo order I will order more!

Gold Dot is excellent ammo... but....
Speer Gold Dot is an excellent product. Only downside to my review on my particular box of GD 45 50rds... the exposed lead hollow point is not shiney like all my other GD pistol ammo (even my 5yr old GD ammo is still shiney) it has a lot of lead oxide (corrosion) and not just the "normal" dark gray discoloration but a little white as well. Not happy about that makes me question how/where this was stored to get this level of lead oxide build up. Rest of the cartridge seems ok with a normal level of dulling on the copper jacket. Price was good... or was it? I would NOT buy Speer GD 45 for duty use from PSA again. I will buy other stuff from them though.
