The Stealth Recoil Spring™ SRS ™ is a self-contained multi-stage drop-in replacement for your standard buffer and spring. The Stealth Recoil Spring ™ is designed to reduce felt recoil as well as keep the buffer spring from rubbing against the inner wall of the buffer tube. The buffer mass is designed to stay under constant tension against the bolt carrier and the O-ring on the head of the buffer mass prevents metal on metal contact.

does installation require any modifications?
phil on Aug 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No modifications are required, and the buffer detent can be left in. However, it is difficult to bypass. Simply remove the standard buffer and spring. Then make sure the hammer is cocked, and insert the new assembly (o-ring forward).
I'm building a 300 blackout pistol. Would this be the correct "sound mitigation" buffer spring?

BEST ANSWER: Yes it would, I have these in all my ar platform rifles. Works perfectly with 300blk with 8” Barrel
Will this work with an SB tactical PDW brace?
Brandon H on Jun 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Assuming your's has a standard length buffer tube like mine does. The inside diameter of the pistol tube and rifle tube (both mil spec and commercial) should be identical to a few thousandths.
Will it work with ks47?
Luis L on Mar 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: PSA made a note that their Gen 2 models are only guaranteed to reliability function with an H1 buffer. If they hadn't mentioned that, I would have assumed so.
Do you have these in stock and ready to ship?

my experiance with the armaspec steath recoil spring
It does its job of eliminating the spring sound, its a little stiffer then the a normal spring but needed to work, I have used it on a 556 and 300blk out, really couldn't tell much from the 556 because I'm using a regular h2 in my other 556's but could definitely feel the difference in the 300, I'm running a light weight BCG with the SRS and feel almost no recoil, only concern is the where the rubber meets the BCG, it seems to flatten and wear more then I like, it hasn't effected the function though.

Nice little system.
I like the system I do still hear some spring noises but that's the nature of the beast.

GTG THUMPER
Great upgrade... smooths out the recoil ( not that a 556 has much)
It does charge harder.
I just ran a test at -15F.... the only issue I had was failure to lock bolt back. There was ice in the action.... maybe that caused it?

Big difference
Put this in my 10.3 300 blackout pistol and wow what a difference in the recoil ! Way smoother and lighter feeling recoil impulse! Worth the money! Will be switching out most of not all my rifles to the style buffer !

Very Niche Item
Pros: Reduced recoil & more consistency, when compared to a traditional carbine buffer.
Cons: Increased weight, overly complex (concern of reliability), more parts to wear, difficult to pass detent, expensive (2-3X as much as a traditional setup), requires more force to charge.
Conclusion: It's a nice luxary for a precision range rifle, but nothing else. It offers only a slight advantage, for a purpose that it doesn't suit. I'm glad to have ONE, but wouldn't bother with another.

Amazing. That’s it lol
Amazing as always. Palmetto state armory has never failed me. Ships fast and tracking helps know when to look out for the package. The recoil spring is really nice, way better than the stock slinky it comes with.
