Gets the job done for an unbeatable price
I bought one and liked it well enough to buy a couple more. It works as well as grips costing many times more. It's solid and gives you a long or short grip option. For ten bucks what's not to like?

Decent grip for the price
Yep--it's already been said: decent vertical grip for the price. I agree. This is a grip you can configure as a shorty or long length merely by either "capping" the end for the shorty or screwing in a longer piece for the longy.

I've looked on line for cheap plastic vertical grips and they don't hold a candle to this Blackhawk one. This one is thick walled polymer--not this thin-webbed Chinese or airsoft crap. The finish is good but there's a long mold "parting line" or some such the length of the grip but it does not interfere with your grip at all. Some fine sandpaper or steel wool will correct it. Hey this ain't museum quality--just a down-to-earth reasonably priced decent vertical grip. Live with it. Nuff said.

Setting up the clamp which attaches it to the rail I found I needed three hands but no big deal. (the durn tiny 8 sided nuts set into the grip kept on popping out until I got 'em both threaded into the sturdy allen head bolt provided along with the allen wrench.

Comes with two rather thin rubber "O" rings to make the hollow innards waterproof. I chucked those and got me a few more thicker ones at my ACE hardware. Seems to seal up a whole lot better with thicker "O" rings.

Price? Can't beat it. I bought a name-brand high-end solid aluminum vertical grip for north of six times these. These polymer ones are rock solid once you tighten them up. I got me a bunch of these Blackhawk grips so now all my railed ARs have a vertical grip.
