Have you ever wondered why the government chooses to fine you $200 for the right to own a silencer?

The guys at T.REX Arms have put together an amazing video on the history of the silencer and how it came to be so heavily regulated by the NFA.

SPOILER ALERT: The Government is stupid.

Added bonus: TONS of Kevin Costner clips.

For a deeper dive into how exactly a silencer works (and why the terms "silencer" and "suppressor" are acceptably interchangeable) read our HOW SUPPRESSORS WORK article as well.

Here's the video on the History of the NFA and Silencer Regulation from T.Rex Arms.

Watched this video a month or so ago. Very informative and very well made, every gun enthusiast needs to watch this and far as they goes even non gun people would find this informative in just how dumb some of our gun laws are, and I'm afraid it's just going to get worse.

Ignorance will make the gun grab a reality . American citizens must ask themselves,” why do politicians want to take away your weapons “? The answer is very unsettling to say the least .
