Introducing the X-Bolt Mountain Pro, now evolved into the new X-Bolt 2 platform, continuing its legacy as Browning's flagship in bolt action rifles. Designed for the sure-footed big game hunter, this rifle leaves nothing to chance, integrating a host of technologies for lightweight performance, laser accuracy and resilience against nature's elements. Central to its design is a second-generation carbon fiber stock, crafted in a 1-piece, foam-filled structure that balances strength with lightweight properties. This stock is exceptionally rigid, minimizing flex during offhand shots and features two-tone gray graphics to enhance concealment in the field. At the butt end, the proven Inflex recoil pad ensures comfort during extended shooting sessions. The innovation extends to the barrel, which is wrapped in carbon fiber by Preferred Barrels. Each barrel undergoes precise machining, button rifling and stress relieving to ensure optimal performance and accuracy. Unlike simpler carbon fiber constructions, Preferred Barrels employ a stronger, stiffer wrapping process for superior durability and performance. The muzzle is threaded 5/8-24 and includes a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake and thread protector cap, with compatibility for optional suppressors. The action is meticulously bedded and the barrel is free-floated to maintain consistent accuracy. A cerakote carbon gray finish protects the stainless steel action, bolt and bolt handle, surpassing bare stainless steel in durability. The X-Bolt Mountain Pro on the X-Bolt 2 platform sets a new standard for precision, durability and performance in big game hunting rifles.
