Features
Long-range target shooting competitions are rapidly growing, offering shooters the thrill of testing both their skills and equipment. Whether you aim to win or simply seek to enhance your shooting experience, the satisfaction of aligning your rifle, optics, ammunition and personal performance is incomparable. Among these competitions, the National Rifle League Production class stands out, where limitations on rifle weight and modifications underscore the importance of out-of-the-box features, quality and accuracy. Enter the new X-Bolt 2 Target Competition Lite, designed to propel your performance to the next level. This rifle is built upon a new full-diameter target receiver that enhances stability with increased stiffness and weight. Inside, the receiver features redesigned bolt guidance surfaces for smoother operation, alongside an alignment flat on top to aid in scope alignment and leveling. The pinned recoil lug ensures perfect barrel orientation during replacement. For optics, the rifle includes a 20 MOA picatinny optics rail secured by four oversize #8-40 screws and an additional steel pin, ensuring robust attachment to the receiver. The redesigned spiral fluted bolt boasts an extended handle for reduced opening force and ergonomic comfort. The Xtra Capacity Magazine System supports popular Accuracy International chassis system (AICS) pattern magazines, providing reliable feeding with options for 5- and 10-round capacities. The patent-pending Browning Target DLX Trigger delivers the precise touch required for accurate shooting, featuring zero creep, zero take-up, zero overtravel and a crisp break adjustable from 2 to 3.30 lb, factory set at 2.50 lb. To meet the 12-pound weight limit in NRL Production class (including rifle, optics and mounts), the rifle is equipped with a precision carbon fiber barrel from Preferred Barrels. This barrel, button rifled and stress relieved, ensures top-tier construction and accuracy, enhanced by a carbon fiber wrapping process for strength and stiffness. Suppressor readiness is integrated with 5/8-24 SR threads and a tunable Recoil Hawg Competition muzzle brake, significantly reducing felt recoil for enhanced shooting comfort during competition. The action is bedded and the barrel free-floated for consistent accuracy. The Vari-Tech stock offers chassis-style adjustability, allowing changes to comb height and length of pull via internal spacers for a solid, rattle-free fit. Grip angle options include a vertical grip and optional sporter modules, with rubber over molding on gripping surfaces for secure handling in any conditions. The stock's ergonomic design ensures the rifle feels like a seamless extension of your body, aiding in precise first shots and rapid follow-ups. A picatinny rail on the forearm facilitates effortless attachment of precision bi-pods and accessories, with easy removal and an additional mounting point for popular ARCA/Swiss rails (not included). In the heat of competition, where split-second advantages matter, the X-Bolt 2 Target Competition Lite is engineered to deliver quick, accurate performance, ensuring you stay ahead of the competition with every shot.
