The ARAK-21 represents the pinnacle of gas piston-operated upper receiver assemblies, engineered to seamlessly integrate with the standard AR-15 platform. Its installation requires only the manipulation of the takedown pin and pivot pin on your current lower receiver, ensuring no modifications are needed. With a straightforward setup that takes less than a minute and requires no tools, the ARAK-21 upper receiver provides immediate enhancement to your firearm. Each ARAK-21 upper receiver is shipped with one or two "Barrel Assembly Units" (BAU), depending on the package you choose. The BAU includes essential components such as the barrel, gas block, muzzle brake, gas piston, gas adjuster and barrel trunnion. The gas adjuster knob, which offers four settings, is the only removable part of this assembly. It provides three gas flow settings for optimal operation in various conditions and one setting to block gas flow for single-shot operation. The upper receiver also includes a charging block, standard charging handle, lower forearm with screws, three full-length aluminum picatinny rails, three insulating shims, bolt carrier assembly, lower recoil lug with spring guide rod and a dual recoil spring system. Additionally, your purchase includes an owner's manual and two Allen wrenches for assembling the lower forearm and front picatinny rails. Due to its innovative design, very few parts of the ARAK-21 upper receiver are interchangeable with standard AR-15 components. The firing pin, extractor spring and ejector spring are the exceptions, allowing for compatibility and ease of maintenance with AR-15 upper receivers.
