The lead free version has a colorful past. While the blue and black silk screened box has eye appeal there is great variance in powders and ignition.

The White Box had the Best Powder but it has disappeared. It was made in Belgium and is better. I have never had a failure to fire or eject with the White Box SS195LF but I have had problems with the colorful blue and black boxed SS195LF.

This makes good target practice training and plinking ammo but much of the SS195LF was manufactured a long time ago. It appears that the total lack of lead not even the trace found in SS192 primers may limit shelf life to 4-5 years.

I some sitting in storage and it is going to be interesting because it is old. Compared to a non lead free SS192 and SS197SR it is best to plan to use lead free primered cartridges within four years.

However I will buy more of this because it is less costly than SS198LF which uses the same copper jacketed aluminum core bullet.
