I have ATI S-Beam MB3R 18.5" 12 Gauge that has a malfunction in shelf retention in the magazine, it often lets shells out of the magazine that get stuck under the carrier prior to activating the action, this renders the gun useless because the carrier cannot swing up to guide the shell.
The live shell must then be pushed forward using some type of tool back into the magazine to clear the carrier. The malfunction has happened with field / target loads (low brass) as well as with defense loads, and is unpredictable. It renders the gun unusable, and worthless for defense reliability.

What is the warranty on it? Have you contacted ATI?

Limited lifetime warranty if purchased after January 1 2025. Must be the original purchaser and provide proof
ATI is a low budget firearms manufacturer, Iād get a Mossberg Maverick 88 for a few dollars more. Maybe their warranty will cover it, but Iād be wary of depending on it for anything other than a range toy.
