Dagger and Falling Mags

The issue has been fixed. It was a limited number of guns. You are reading one example and assuming it is the same for the thousands of daggers PSA has sold.

100k+ Sold. Compared to the number of issues reported it’s a tiny fraction.

@chasnelva if i were you i’d send yours back in to PSA and let them work on it. they will fix your issues without a problem under warranty.

So I had a dagger I bought a while back. I upgraded the barrel recently to a threaded barrel. Started having the mag drop issue. Doesn’t happen with the stock barrel. Both have 9x19 stamped on the side. Not terribly savvy with this kind of stuff, but it seems like the threaded barrel is pushing the mag out.

That’s a known issue some barrels can have. Despite being a Glock clone or Glock compatible barrel, not all barrel dimensions are the same. Sometimes you just get ones that don’t play well. Even OEM guns can have issues, but fitting usually fixes it. Not aware of OEM Glock’s dropping mags though.

If it’s a PSA barrel though, contact support. Cause that’s a different issue they should be able to fix for you.

@Anthony_PSA I am also having this issue but cant figure out how to PM you

@Anthony_PSA, I experience the same problem with dropping mags when firing - specifically with pmag 27s and SDS imports 33 rd magazines..
I tried using the PSA chat and PSA phone line, but got dead-ended. So, you seem to be the best avenue to reach PSA re: this issue. Thanks!

@Keebler723 welcome to the forum sir! hope you enjoy your stay!

Daggers are not Glock clones. They are 80% pistols that require you to perform the quality control. Their customer service guys are top shelf dudes given the impossible task of covering for crap front end engineering and supplier quality qualification. Anthony, Matt, not bagging on you. If I could I’d snipe you from PSA because you must work harder than 99% of custserv reps.

These pistols are lacking in more ways than not. Seriously, read the reviews. The Dagger sales are miniscule compared to Glock and most forum action is about defects. A quality piston doesnt require ā€œbreak inā€. These are turds

They arnt turds. I have thousands of rounds through mine. For every 1 negative forum post you read there are hundreds of happy customers. Furthermore, if all you want to do is bash on PSA perhaps this is not the place for you.

Thanks! I’ve otherwise really liked the dagger compact. I’m really excited about the dagger micro too. It’s just the pesky situation re: particular mags falling out, as others have mentioned above that has been a bother.

@Keebler723 PM sent.

@Anthony_PSA I am having issues with my stock pmags dropping frequently while firing. Are you able to help me? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum @conwayr6

So im a lil confused…i just bought a dagger a month ago and the barrel is marked 9x19 on the side…is that the older barrel with problems???
I checked and i have a gap between barrel ramp and magazine…doesn’t seem to contact…

Is there a sure fire way to ID the problem(s) causing the mag fall outs specifically? I just got a dagger with threaded barrel a few weeks ago but haven’t fired it yet.

Thanks!
