All are my builds stamped receivers, took me many years to find original barreled matched numbered kits.

thats awesome. the first gun i ever built was my 80 romanian Guard kit. it had a factory barrel because at the time the kits were coming with them, and were only running about 100-125.00 a kit… add a 69.00 NDS3 nodak spud receiver and you’re in business. just had to have someone with the Jigs to actually be able to rivit it back together once you demilled and pressed the barrel out of the front trunion. my other kit was a Yugoslavian underfolder, that i had the Milled receiver welded back together, and fixed then put it all back together and reblued. I love that underfolder, it is most authentic to me cause it has the original receiver… oh well. I stopped building Ak’s though after them just too much work compared to AR’s. Thats not to say i wouldnt be loving to add more AKs to my collection, i just dont wanna build any anymore. lol. but back when i was doing it all the kits were matched kits with original barrels. i wish i’d of bought a ton more of the kits back then just to have sat on the kits.

Oh my god yes, I went through military disability for 8 years of course couldn’t get a job because of my medications and had to part with a marked 1953 PLO capture. Man you wanna talk about a heart break, here’s my baby a Tula 1968 that was done way back before there kits because somewhat available. It’s original barreled also

those are awesome ak’s for sure.
now that PSA has their romanian line i dont even see a need to build from kit anymore lol, specially since i know some of the stuff about the lowers and what not being made/ used. theyre top quality stuff. that said, i guess i’ll share a pic of my first AK built my Romanian Guard 80 ona NDS3… i know its not a PSA AK47, but i will have another one of PSAs. I’ve had 2 so far and they both were great guns.

Very nice build, I guess for me I like as original as possible. Probably why I look hard for matching numbered kits still to this day. Still a few I’d like to own with a East German high on the list
