Oh, it wasn’t. This one is made from a JMT 80% poly lower. Lighter weight. Didn’t have the stubby mag yet in this shot:
This was actually an all black Carbine model with the EPT trigger. But because my lower was ODG, I bought a separate ODG handguard and stock, keeping the black grip so it has nice contrast. Tossed on a red dot that used to be on the other rifle (now replaced by the LPVO). The sling is just one I had bought for the other rifle but was a bit too short for the mid length. Fits the carbine much better.

Just put a Midwest Industries free float rail on the 20" premium upper. Quick 20 rd test fire on a carbine lower went well

My baby! This is my go to rifle. It has done three rifle classes and fired approximately 3,000 rounds without a single issue. 14.5 CHF PSA upper. I like it so much I made an exact copy but with OD Green furniture and a Steiner LPVO.

PSA 300AAC upper with PSA flash can.
PSA stripped lower with pistol kit
Did the black cherry cerakote to tell it from the 5.56 that was built with the same size barrel and parts.
Plan on suppressing down the road. $$$
And yes that is a record player. Love the sound of vinyl.

First AR and gun for that matter. Thanks PSA I love it and it shoots great. Just painted recently for a new look, I like it. Might add some tans at some point, I dunno.

@Klfuller2 and @tsmak2002 just a heads up that plug in your sba3 makes it an SBR. ATF has issued statements on similar devices.

Vortex has improved in quality tremendously over the years. Depending on your choice of optic its the best in some specific areas, but still tailored for the civilian market mostly.
