Round count for 2021

This year I shot over 14k rounds between all my guns. It’s a personal best for me and it’s just the first year under the Child Sniffer Administration. How have y’all been doing this year? :+1:t2:

I’m at a recent low, but I have a couple deer and a bunch of pigs to show for it.

That could change by year’s end though if I ever sight in some recent builds, another one with a new adjustable gas block, another dialed in for the ammunition change I’m making, and yet another needs the optic moved.

Another first for me this year I shot over 1,000 rounds of 10 mm and .40 S&W from the same gun-Glock 20 :+1:t2:

Ashamed to admit not much shooting this year. Planning to retire next year so maybe my reloading will pick up.

Yes Sir, I had to shoot while I had the chance. It’ll be a while before that happens again. Got a Twenty Year Anniversary coming up that involves traveling :+1:t2:

I am not an expert but know the 10mm and .40S&W headspace differently. You might want to research that more because I’d hate to see you in the hospital when the metal fatigues too much.

I’m up to about 200 rounds this year, mostly 9mm and 5.56. Will try to up that next year, but nowhere near 14k :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I only shot the .40 S&W from the Glock 20. Because of what you said I would have not tried that on any other 10mm. I shot over 1,000 rounds of .40 in the Glock 20. It was an experience. :+1:

If you like to shoot the 9mm and the 5.56mm ammunition are the ones most likely to be available.

2021, next to nothing unfortunately. 2019 and the first couple of months of 2020, I was averaging 1.5k+ a day. But that number is cheating when you get paid to shoot at work

What do you do?

I really love .40SW - my first “real” pistol was a Beretta 96G, then Sprngfld XDm in .40. Have thousands of rounds thru the XDm over the years and is the best shooting pistol I have (probably because of that). There’s something about the recoil that seems easier to get back on target - probably all psychological :relaxed:

Before I got to spend my days chatting with all of you lovely people, I have worked across PSA. I started out in our manufacturing facility building AR’s. Got moved to help get our AK program up and going. Bounced around there for a little while, then ended up in our Test Fire Department. After a while I was able to move over to our Customer Service Department, then finally here.

We’re sure happy to have you here, Josh!

Can I work there? I would always be early. I don’t require money, shooting at that daily rate would do :+1:t2:

So far,

.22lr 2500
12ga 1000
9mm 1000
.357 200
.38 500
300 BO 500
.223-5.56 None. Will shoot around Christmas

around 3000 between 22lr, 9mm, .223, 5.56 and 7.62x39

It definitely has its advantages. `25 yds, I can probably pick off a Gatorade bottle w/o any optics lol. But 2 rds at a giant pile of rubber, then changing the upper receiver roughly 700 times a day gets old pretty quick. Although getting to help torture test some of our new products was a lot of fun!

@Yota-walker

You’ve got a nice place to shoot. Reminds me of my property in Virginia :+1:t3:

It is a nice maintained private range. I did go to public ranges before the COVID lockdown. Now I don’t need a tetanus shot after every range session.

I miss having extra acreage…

Great topic and a fun exercise. Thanks. Probably Just shy of 6k in 12 ga, 5.56, 300 AAC, .45 Auto, 9mm, and .44 Mag. Maybe another 2k of rimfire. Odds and ends of .38, .380 Auto, .40, .300 Win Mag, 30.06, .357 Mag, .308, .243, .270, 45/70, 6.5 Grendel, .338 Edge, .300 Weatherby Mag, and .50 BMG. (Not all mine - the folks I shoot with all try to bring something interesting to share.) You, sir, had a good year.
