There are so many cool options

a small pdw with a fast deployment stock would be well worth it, a perfect truck gun and eventually, either through palmetto or aftermarket support, someone would find a way to convert that to other calibers. it would be one of the best civilian pdw’s on the market only behind the tp9 from b&t.
There are a million and one blowback 9mm and they are mostly relatively cheap.
The Vuk looks cool and I’m down for it but I’m also very interested in the bullpup because they’re not that many out there so I’m always down for a fresh take on one.
like you said, the dagger doesn’t have much to say about it. Thats why it might be the worst one. who cares about the 5000th glock clone.
The 308 JAKL will be awesome because it’ll let psa more or less upend the scar/bren/ mcx market a lot and it’d be a huge boon to them.
The 570 is just a pump gun. it’d be nice but god its basic. mossberg is already pretty much locking that down anyway.
the saber enhanced is worthless as a idea for a complete gun. most people that want the upgrades will just buy the kits. it is just not a product that should be put out first.
The bolt gun is a cool idea but i feel like not that many people get more in depth than changing the stock.
the thumper is also worthless because you really want to pay all that money for aesthetics or are you really that excited to shoot flares and smoke rounds under barrel?
overall i appreciate your reasoning but you seem to misunderstand some stuff about pdw’s

I think the whole point of the 570 is that it’s “just a pump gun”. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel, but if you can offer a comparable or superior product to the Moss 590 at a lesser price while giving people more options to choose from, you’ll definitely start breaking Mossberg’s ironclad grip on that market.

I would love to see the PSA X5.7, but instead in 9mm and possibly compatible with glock/dagger mags. Please give us a true 9mm PDW.

I like the 9mm and the .308 Jakl but I’m all in on the X5.7. Of all the options, that is the one I will definitely buy.

it would be one of the best civilian pdw’s on the market only behind the tp9 from b&t.

that’s the thing, it’s not so much the gun, but the caliber. 9MM Parabellum is actually effective and affordable, and has numerous defensive loadings. The commonly available (and legal) loadings of 5.7X28 don’t deliver the kinetic energy dump that 9MM loads do, and handgun AP ammo has been banned for 30+ years, so no SS109 or whatever the gee whiz loading is that’s alleged to defeat NIJ-II soft armor.
As a range toy, go for it, but as your primary defensive gun, not so much.
Also, I expect the 5.7 PDW thing will probably be the highest voted model on this list, and it’ll sell like mad. I just think that the 5.7X28 is one of those “but why?” calibers. If I were to get the caliber, I’d get it in something like the CMMG Banshee or a PS-90 with at least a 10" barrel. The 5.7 needs all the dwell time it can get.

As for the 570 being too basic, AFAIK, Mossberg and Remington don’t offer pump guns with beveled loading wells, cut outs for red dots, and enlarged controls (that big rectangular button on the side, which I’m not sure is the slide release or the safety, but it’s still big and knurled, and should be very easy to manipulate under stress or while wearing gloves or with wet hands, vs. the little nub by the trigger guard on the Mossberg and Remington. All of those features would need to be added by a gunsmith like Langdon Tactical or VangComp post-purchase, or you’d purchase a pre-modified gun from them for a steep premium over MSRP.

I suspect all the internals will be designed to take abuse across the board, so the equivalent of the top end models, i.e. the 590/590A1 for Mossberg or the Police Magnum 870 instead of the Maverick 88 or Wingmaster with their thinner action bars, MIM extractors, polymer trigger housings and so on.

The only real standout feature that Mossberg has is that they have a shell lifter on one model that can reliably feed SAAMI spec mini-shells alongside the common 2 3/4" and 3" shells without needing an adapter block. If PSA is able to get their 570 to reliably feed minis and regular shells, that would put them ahead of the Big 2 when you factor in all the other standard features.

ss190 is the ‘gee-whizz’ loading you’re talking about.

Here’s James Reeves with the shortest barrel configuration with AAC Vmax ammo punching multiple level 2 panels multiple times. I wonder what you could find out about faster loadings with better materials if you just looked.

Sabre Dagger line

Ported barrels

Seen them on X they look good.

Let’s see it ! Lol

RE: Jakl 9mm

I think PSA is MISSING THE BOAT if there is NOT a GLOCK MAG lower. I’m pretty sure the prevailing mag on the market is the Glock mag. PLEASE MAKE JAKL 9mm with GLOCK MAG. . You’ll thank me for it, $$ in your bank, and happy buyers. Put me on the list!
