I say this because I want everyone reading this to know that I think PSA is great at giving people what they ask for, but those people who ask for stuff because it’s cool, often don’t end up buying the product when it launches. I’m not putting PSA down, I just don’t want their INCREDIBLE talents to not bear fruit for them.
A couple counterpoints: first, it’s not as if PSA is shying away from the things you outlined as needs in favor of things you’ve outlined more as range toys. In fact, they’re actually diving even deeper into practical every day weaponry with the continued expansion of their AR line, continued expansion of the JAKL line, continued expansion of their handgun line (which is nearly all home defense/CCW type pistols,) while getting into the shotgun and bolt-action market.
Secondly, I’d argue the market needs innovation. Gun development has been pretty stagnant and many offerings are overpriced or otherwise unobtainable. It’s not as if there’s a shortage of ARs, pump shotties, bolt-actions, and striker-fired polymer pistols out there for people to choose from, in fact, there’s an overwhelming amount. As long as PSA isn’t trying to bite off more than they can chew, there isn’t a real downside to attempting to do a few things others haven’t or won’t, especially if they’re doing them in ways that make them accessible to more people.
Past all that…your safe queen/range toy may not be someone else’s. I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t use a Rock and X5.7 as a carry & home defense/backpack gun pair if you wanted. Same with getting into the JAKL platform…if all of these concepts come to market, you’ll have the ability to create a mishmash of uppers and lowers for nearly any scenario just like you can with ARs. A couple seconds could turn your long barrel 5.56 range toy into your .300blk bullpup home defense tool, that’s an awesome thing. The AR is a great every day tool, but it’s not the only way to skin a cat…it’s just the most readily available and accessible one at the moment.
I’m surprised that the Vuk is as high as it is in the results. It’s basically a JAKL with a pistol-length handguard, the front-heavy rifle barrel assemby of the JAKL, and worse mag changes. If they lightened the front end and made 7.62x39 the priority cartridge, then I could get behind the concept. At present, it’s just a worse version of the JAKL (it’s still front heavy, but with less mounting options, harder-to-find magazines, and harder-to-change magazines). Literally dumbfounded by that one.
I’m also surprised that the Olcan isn’t more popular. I would love to see another bullpup on the market, especially one that is relatively inexpensive and that can be switched to a conventional format simply by swapping lowers. That’s a good idea, and it would allow people who already have a JAKL to basically get a second gun for a fraction of the cost.
I’m also perplexed by the number of people who want a PSA shotgun. The market has tons of shotguns. We need another shotgun like we need an extra hole in the head.
That being said, the lack of excitement for the handguns in general isn’t surprising at all. The market has tons of handguns, and all PSA is doing is basically tweaking other designs. PSA might make some cheaper versions, but there aren’t enough substantial changes to warrant any great interest.
The popularity of the X5.7 is also unsurprising. It won’t be a very practical gun, but nobody really cares about that (including me). It’s still a cool concept. The sooner they get that one into production, the better. That’s a guaranteed money-maker right there.

Now its time for the “local” excuses below:arrow_heading_down:![]()

22Dagger in 43X/48 sized frame would be nice. Easier to train young children with the smaller frames.
My 3 picks are:
570 shotgun
Olcan
.22 dagger
I love the tang mount safety of Mossberg. It’s such a a convenient location on traditional, non pistol grip, stocks. As a lefty, I love it because it’s naturally ambi!
Does anyone happen to know if the action release will be ambi? I like the concept of the design, but since it’s not centerline, there would need to be another switch to work for us wrong-handed folks.
In all of the videos, posts, pics, etc, I could not find a single image of the other side of the receiver, though I could have missed it. I think having such a great ambi safety, it makes sense to have an ambi action release as well. Though, that’s just lefty bias lol
Thanks y’all!
And thanks PSA for having such a a killer release lineup this year!!

On the 870 Shotgun it would be cool if the mag tube mount on the receiver was modularly pined into place so that feed system experimentation could be done
PSA5.7 needs QUALITY integration with long mags and the grip!! Extended Glock mags are just cheesy on other platforms!
Welcome aboard. I’m guessing you haven’t used the Soviet Arms (PSA) AK-V extensions.
Please tell me PSA will at least drop the lowers for the bullpup if it doesn’t make the list?!!! And is the VUK and Bullpup lowers compatible with all JAKL uppers? Wondering if I will have to get new uppers for each of the two lowers or not.
i have a feeling we’re going to get all of these, not just the top three… the top 3 are t he ones that PSA will be working on first to get to us, but after that i see no reason why PSA wouldnt continue to produce these awesome weapons.
that said, alot say theres already enough shotguns, well with the shotguns there may be, but how many of them are geared to be build yours at home like AR15s are? yoiu can literally make any type of shotgun you want, by buying the parts for it and assembling them. I think its awesome, and will be building one if not more when its all available depending on the various parts. same goes with many of these weapons thaty they are producing.
WAY TO GO PSA!

I keep asking for a sub $3,000 semiautomatic magfeed .50bmg. That would certainly be a real equalizer.
The X5.7 in 10mm would be great. It would go from a range toy to something you could actually depend your life on.

VUK #1 by far, It’s a improved AK, similar looking to AK12 but way I love it. I think it’s the most BA gun I saw at the show and will buy it the day it comes out!!! Any ideas on weight? More than a standard AK or little trimmer? Hope to see 12.5 Variants and 13.7 Variants in 5.56/7.62x39 and some love to Griffin Armament Dual Lok Muzzle Devices… Anyways, VUK #1, JAKL 308 #2, Thumper #3 (GP-25 Clone would be BA). Close to #3 is 10mm
Dude that thing is so cool; We gotta see that worked on first!
Man that’s an easy first buy! 308 is the key
