Welcome to the forums @johnsandwich9 ![]()
There are several companies that produce 37mm ammunition.
Animal control, signaling (fireworks/flares), tear gas, there are several legal uses, and in turn support, for the 37mm cartridge.
There had been many smoke and âdistractionâ loads, but with the changes under the amendment to ATFâs 27 CFR 555.32, I assume they are now regulated devices.
if theyâre all (or all the cool things) are regulated ammo for it in 37mm⌠to me it kills the point in me owning one.
Lots of unregulated ammo like fireworks. The more that is out there the better.
can we please get the affordable MP5 first. All of these look cool but we have been patiently waiting for the mp5.
Vuk. In 5.56, please.
.30Hate JAKL. Looks mean as hell.
Weirdly named bolt gun. Also in .308 Win, please.
@GamecockOperator
As a stand alone unit, I see utility in them. As an underbarrel attachment, however, I fully agree that the overregulation of both the 40mm launcher and the 37mm ammunition almost complately removes itâs utility.

The MP5 is a Dead item. It will not be produced at any time soon, and was shelved because PSA was investing over 100 million in an Ammo plant as well as the fact that there are now many other MP5 clones on the market by many other companies at affordable prices. So iâd forget about the MP5⌠its not happening is pretty much how you gotta look at it.
@tsimpson.1984 , that said, Welcome to our forums!!
if the ammo regulation is a problem for it under barrel, to me it is just as big a problem as it is stand alone⌠if i cant find ammo for one its the same for another sadly. ![]()
There is truth to the MP7 and its 4.6x30mm round is most effective paired with its rate of fire, however, nuertering such a weapon doesnt fully remove its capability as a pdw.
Concerning 5.7 ammunition, many ammo companies, in the past, expressed hesitancy to produce the cartridge due to limited market demand. As we see offerings now from Ruger, Smith and Wesson, PSA, Kel Tec, CMMG, we can see a continued increase of demand and interest. Because of this, the liklihood of more companies producing 5.7 continues to increase.
Granted, unlike many other offerings, the 5.7 is completely proprietary in its component specs, so I cant forsee that every Tom, Dick and Harry will be churning it out, so significant cost changes would require a steady flow of increased production, and could take several years to do so.
Itâs getting harder and harder to be a financially responsible adultâŚ
If Jesus wanted us to be financially responsible, he wouldnât have given us credit cards.
even if it is not turned out by every tom dick and harry as far as ammo production is concerned im ok with that because AAC is making it and has already effected the price of the ammo considerably. Instead of paying 50, 40 or even 30 dollars a box of 50 now were paying 24.99 a box from AAC. so that is good stuff!!!
All of these developments are really exciting, although I sided with most and voted for the .308 Jakl and the Vuk immediately. A piston-driven .308 sounds very practical, and the Vuk looks cool and has practical utility as well. I particularly like the partially-exposed gas system on the Vuk, if it looked exactly like it does in the photos (and turned out to be reliable) Iâd buy one.
I elected to not vote for the X5.7, as it doesnât look like an MP7 and never will. It has limited practical utility otherwise, although I am pretty confident it will be more reliable than Keltecâs P50.
I instead put my last vote towards the Sabre Enhanced M4 as I am strongly in favor of having an alternate choice than LMT and KAC for enhanced bolts with dual extractor springs. I would buy one of these enhanced Sabres for the BCG improvements alone, although it would be preferable to just sell the BCG. The Hodge rail is a nice touch, although I would be willing to skip that. The BCG improvements are the main reason I want this gun.
Cheers!
Heres to hopefully more sunny days on this road!

So judging by the pin layout on the 570 i would assume a 500/590 side saddle might fit?
Wow, the video made me cheer!

would love the bolt action, but Iâm a lefty and have to buy bolt actions from Savage :-(. Unless PSA will make some lefty bolts.
The 5.7 PDW looks awesome and the Dagger 45 has me drooling. Looks like Iâll be picking up alot of overtime this year to buy all the cool stuff ![]()
