Veteran: CTT2 NSG: hunted on estates in the highlands around RAF Edzell, Scotland for 3 years behind a professionally trained gun dog whose game keeper owner had fallen through the ice 2 years prior and drowned. His widow gave me his dog. He was well respected by large estates and due to his dog and the man’s reputation, I was given permission by estates to hunt as long as I left their pheasants alone (8,000 to 9,000 pounds sterling per driven pheasant shoots). I hunted behind this flushing only gun dog for whatever ran, jumped or flew out from the bush except pheasants. I passed her down to a young boy and his dad along with a 20 ga. Stevens pump and a case of rabbit shot ammo. They lived in a cottage up in the highlands near one of the estates. I befriended the dad who worked on an estate. What an experience those 3 years where!!!
Now, I am retired and moved to Colorado for the clean air and vistas - not the politics. Thinking of moving to Wyoming !!! Free American, baby!!!
Regulated maybe but not ruled over!!!
