BEST ANSWER: It is now, my friend!
Can I use a suppressor with the rail on this build?
Travis C on Aug 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The PSA flash can has an o.d. of 1.20”. Measuring my PSA 12” mlok slant rail and anything larger then 1.20” might make contact while firing due to barrel whip and close tolerances. Most 5.56 rated suppressors are around 1.5” o.d. So in general I would say no a suppressor cannot be with this combination of a 10.5” barrel, and this particular 12” rail.
Does the build kit include everything for a stripped lower?
David S on Jul 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely! Only thing I added was a sling loop under the castle nut. Great kit and excellent trigger group.
Whats better. Pistol or carbine gas for the 10.5 kit?
jeremiah f on Aug 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The dwell time on the carbine length gas system is a little bit short with a 10.5" barrel; the dwell time on a pistol length gas system is a little bit long. I have not experienced any problems with my carbine length gas system and 10.5" barrel.

Is the flash can “permanently fixed” (i.e. pinned and welded) to the barrel?
MacBean on Jan 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It is my understanding the flash can is screwed on. When the hand guard is removed the fully exposed can will be seen with two flat sides at it's rear. Connecting a wrench here should remove it. There are no welds at the rear of the can. I have not tried to remove mine. Looks cool and gives it a bull barrel look.
Hi is this kit requires SBR from atf or Is this considered a pistol thank you ?
Christian on Jan 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: If you're "intent" is to build a pistol, it's considered a pistol because of the SBA3 brace (Google SB Tactical ATF Letter). Keep in mind, it is all about "intent"; if you're "intent" is to bypass and use your pistol as an SBR, your "intent" makes it an SBR. This holds true from my research for all AR pistol builds.
What are the necessary tools to put this build together?
Dylan H on Feb 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: A set of roll pin punches, a vice, and a hammer with a polymer strike face and a brass strike face. Maybe some needle nose pliers. Three hands also helps.
What is the difference between this kit and the seemingly identical kit with the sku ending with 807 instead of 877?
Mike D on Jan 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: One model has picitinny rail on top of the free float all the way down. The other only has picitinny on top at the front of the rail where you would put your front sight. Personally, I bought the full length picitinny rail so I could mount a peq box on top. Other wise you have to mount accessories with mlok
Does this kit come with a rear takedown pin detent that is threaded for a 4-40 set screw ? The lower that I want to use with this kit calls for a 4-40 set screw.
Roland G on Dec 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It goes together like every other AR kit I’ve assembled, and I haven’t used a set screw on any of them. Good kit, but I don’t remember any threads for set screws on a takedown pin or detention.
Can you get this in FDE?
Naim M on Dec 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I don't think so with this particular kit. you can piece one together for close to that price if you look around.

Leeybarra92 on Jan 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Psa couldn't sell if was illegal.
I can seem to locate the brand name for the barrel. Is it listed on here? If so what is the brand?
Braden S on Dec 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There are no markings indicating the barrel manufacturer. Just "300BLK 1/8".

BEST ANSWER: no, just the upper itself with barrel and flash can is 21"

Great Kit for the $.
Outstanding kit. My first experience assembling a lower, piece of cake. 300 rounds though it without a hitch. BFD works great, however be aware you cannot get an mlok nut between the can and the rail, so no mounting accessories on the sides that far up. 20/20 hindsight I would have gotten the NiB BCG model with BUIS. The supplied bcg works fine, just more friction than I prefer. This is an outstanding budget kit that is lightweight and performs well out of the box. Well done PSA.

PSA AR15 kit worth it
I'm not gonna so much write a review as I am going to say I like this companies product. The only thing that I cant say is that their charing lever seems a be a bit stiff.

Simple, easy AR pistol build
I wanted to build my first AR-15 and decided to order through Palmetto after reading many positive reviews online.

I am extremely impressed with the fact that everything worked the way it was supposed to. I typically avoid products that are priced lower than the industry average simply because it almost always means lower quality as well.

I did not feel that way with this kit. You will get your money's worth with this kit and then some. Ordering another PSA kit already, I am HOOKED!

First Ever AR Build
This is my FIRST ever AR build. I bought this pistol kit and it was delivered to my front door in about 10-business days. I had previously bought a stripped Anderson lower from Cabela’s for $53 (with tax). I bought an AR wrench and magazine block to help with the assembly. With a little help from YouTube, I had the lower built and the gun assembled in an hour. I cleaned the CBG and barrel, gave it a light oiling and went to the range. Initially, it was a little stiff to charge, but after charging it about 20 times and shooting 100 rounds...all is good. I shot 3 different brands of ammo, 2 in 223 and 1 in 556. Not a single malfunction or issue. The gun works perfectly. Thank You PSA for an affordable, quality fire arm. I will be buying all of my future build kits from PSA.
Finished with Sightmark optic
