What is the inside diameter of this rail system? Looking to install 1.375” OD suppressor on it.
Craig C on Nov 21, 2018
Why does the description state 300 AAC Blkout, but have a BCG 5.56?
Sonny N on Nov 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The 300 blk round uses a cut down .223 brass casing, so the brass casing is the same diameter.
I ordered this and was sent a 1/7 barrel as well what's going on I really wanted the 1/8 as described what can be done about this?
mike g on Dec 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Clearly says 1/7
My handguard moved forward about a half inch after firing 60 rounds but the screws are to be as tight as possible. Anything to prevent this?
mike g on Dec 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Had the same issue with mine after 60 rounds downrange. I ended up putting a 1/4-20 x 1/4 set screw in the grip. This now prevents it from sliding forward or twisting. I can post pics if needed.
What is the inside diameter of the handguard?
Andy L on Dec 15, 2018
Is the flash can just threaded, or is it pinned and welded?
Josh T on Jan 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Threaded 5/8” x 24
Will this come back into stock or was it only built for Daily Deals for the holidays? I bought 2 but wanted 1 more.
Calvin B on Jan 20, 2019
ALL six QD sockets don't work on this handguard because the thick barrel and flash can are block the QD swivel from fully set. anyone knows a fix to that?
Neal A on Jan 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Add one to the M Lok.
Which caliber is this?
Phil Y on Dec 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 300 blackout. It's a .30 cal.
All I'd have to do was attach this to a complete lower? Correct?
Patti on Feb 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: As long as you are attaching it to a complete pistol lower. If you attached to a complete rifle lower you would be creating a short barreled rifle for which you would have to have a federal stamp to own.
This upper is for a pistol set up only, correct?
justgettinready on Feb 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Spend some time educating yourself on the differences between a pistol and a short barreled rifle.
Multiple reviews reference the handgaurd moving after short periods of use. Has this issue been resolved?
JoeyV on Feb 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Mine actually moved after about 20 rounds fired. I cleaned it of all lubricants and re-torqued. It still moved. So to fix it permanently, I added a small set screw to the hand guard just over the barrel screws that locks it into place. No more movement has been observed. Even if you tighten it as much as possible, the design of the guard allows it to slightly flex in the pic rail area. This could also be fixed by adding a small bolt through the pic rail (side to side). If done properly, it would not interfere with any optics added to the rail. It would keep the aluminum from flexing and remain tight on the barrel.
Has the issue with the hand guard slipping been corrected?
Dakota E on Apr 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No, mine slid forward just after traveling with it in my rifle bag. I just had to put it back in place and tighten the screws.
Is the barrel chrome lined?
Ashtontim on Apr 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: no it’s black nitride
Is this compatible with a mil spec 556 lower? I’m no expert, but I have a spare AR15 lower. Thanks.
Caleb S on Dec 18, 2018
The flash can is touching the bottom of the handguard, but there is a large gap above the flash can, is that normal for this upper? Seems like something might not be straight?
Chris C on May 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Looked at mine and it doesn’t have this issue. Went to shooting range this morning and it fires and functions great!! I’ll be purchasing a 5.56 complete upper soon.
How do I go about adding a suppressor? Is it possible?
Summer D on Mar 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Have to find a suppressor with diameter that will fit in hand guard or replace hand guard with a shorter one. I believe ID of hand guard is about 1.375” so I will be difficult to find a 30 cal can with that small of an OD
Just received mine and my Barrel says 1/7 not 1/8 , what’s up with that ?
Brian H on Dec 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It's probably a 1:7.
Does the flash can work on 5.56?
Quinn on Dec 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Nope. Just like any brake or flash hider, 30 cal diameter is different than 5.56
Can you install a fostech echo 2 trigger with this bcg?
Kent A on Nov 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The newer Fostech echo triggers work with a full auto bcg. The original Fostech used a proprietary bolt carrier. I'm pretty sure this bcg will be compatible.
Out of curiosity, does this upper come with the FN barrel?

8.5" .300 Blackout
I ordered this because I had researched about the .300 blackout and because I reload. I like the PSA 8.5". The only issue I have is that the handguard keeps inching forward, even after several tightening. I will use blue lock tight next. I also think the muzzle flash could be better designed rather than just a large hole. Otherwise, I like this PSA upper.

I’m very pleased with this upper and definitely recommend it to my friends.
This is my second PSA upper in .300 Blackout (others in 5.56 and 7.62x39) and my first AR in the pistol configuration. I’m very pleased with the quality of all of my PSA uppers. The fit and finish are perfect no matter whose lower I use. I cleaned and lubed it and took it to the range. No malfunctions of any kind using Remington 120gr open tip match and Magtec 200gr fmj subsonics. I, too, had the aluminum hand guard slide forward. Once I got home, I found the bolts loose. I removed the 3 bolts, cleaned them and the holes in the hand guard with break cleaner. To make me feel better, I used a scotch bright pad and roughened up the contact surfaces of the outer barrel nut and the inner hand guard. I then put everything back together and used blue loc-tight on the bolts. Second time at the range the hand guard was rock solid.

accurate looks good fun to shoot. only drawback is handguard slide forward about a half an inch. have not tried to move it back yet. hopefully only needs to be tightened.

Just but it and love it
Perfect fit. By the third mag i was shooting 3/4” groups @ 50 yds. And 2” groups at 100 yds. With truglo 2 moa red dot. Accuratre and controllable. Flash can is very easy on the ears. Wold be 5 stars all day long except hand guard moves 1/2” forward on barrel nut after a few rounds. Mo matter how tight you have the three screws. Meeds a pin or set screw.

I was concerned purchasing this after reading the review. I can tell you this, I've had no issues with this upper what so ever. I've built 2 PSA riffles and both run flawlessly with no issues. Keep up the good work. Thank you all.

Great upper!
Paired this with a PSA lower. It’s a great shooter! Like others, my hand guard moved while shooting. I shot 40 rounds and the guard had moved over nearly ¼”. I fixed it and tightened it down. Will find out if it moves again soon.
My 11th shot at 20 yards with flip up sights.
Great little gun.

Will definitely be buying more uppers to go with my PSA pistol lower
I am very pleased with PSA and the 300 blackout. Shoots flawlessly and is so easy and comfortable to carry. At a fraction of the cost
