What lower do I need with this upper ?
Jorge S on May 17, 2018
Will this fit on an AR-15 lower?
Bryan H on May 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Fits a standard AR15 lower......I.E. 5.56/223 size
What size is the gas port?
Dawgz90 on May 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The gas port size is NOT .750....the barrel diameter for the gas block is .750" at the gas port. I have one like this, and it cycles fine, being a carbine length system. Steel and brass case ammo functions without being overgassed.
Does this come with a M16 cut?
Jonathan E S on Jun 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Bolt Carrier Profile: Semi-auto. It states this in the description.
What is the recommended Magazine type ?
tom529 on May 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: C Products, E-Lander, and ACS are some of the manufacturers that produce AR 7.62X39 magazines. Just google search the manufacturer name and 7.62X39 and you will find the vendors selling them. C Products is my preferred.
What is the best ammo to run on this upper?
Jeff O on Dec 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Steel case Ammo will work fine. Most have hardened primers that take a little harder thump. If you have a light trigger in your lower you may have to file the shoulder on the firing pin a bit to get a little deeper punch on the primer. Common issue on tha ar47

Good looking upper, so far it has ran flawlessly.
Just put together this 10.5" pistol with a PSA Sba3 lower and took it to the Range for the first time today. After 80rnds the 7.62x39 pistol ran flawlessly. So far so good!!!

Bad and Good
Bad: Will not reliable load. Sent back the first time for this problem and was told it was my magazine. I bought a magazine recommended by PSA rep and it did not work either. The magazine worked flawlessly in another PSA 7.62x39 rifle.

Good: Exceeded my expectations in accuracy. Tulammo 154 gr sp 100yd 3shot group touching!

The gun is currently on its way back to PSA for a second time!

typical problem easily solved
I have several AR type firearms in this caliber from Palmetto. they all had same issue as any other brands. Before you get down on quality control know that when you use surplus ammo with steel case and some not steel cased military ammo that they have hard primers. this results in light primer strikes, Buy an enhanced longer firing pin problem solved. they design these to shoot the more expensive quality ammo not steel case surplus ammo that most of us end up shooting, Thank you Palmetto for a quality product....

Failure to fire every 2 to 3 rounds. Light primer strikes. Need to send back for repair.
Failure to fire and light strikes on 3 different kind of ammo. Not a happy camper here. Third purchase with a problem with Palmetto. Looks like their quality control need to get paid attention to. If I am managing that department heads will be rolling.
