The Gen2 PA10 receivers are functionally compatible with the Gen1 upper receivers; however we recommend matching Gen2 lowers to Gen2 uppers for best appearance.  There are external cosmetic differences when mixing Gen1 and Gen2 upper and lower receivers that some may not find appealing.  Gen1 lowers will be available in the future for those who want a cosmetic match.

The AR10 platform does not enjoy a common design between manufacturers, like the AR15. As a result, there can and will be subtle differences in the parts kits of various manufacturers. Some parts, like the fire control group, are shared with the AR15 platform to preserve the options for upgrading. For best results, we recommend only using PSA PA10 parts with our uppers and lower receivers. We do not recommend using other manufacturer’s parts in our products.

Is there a problem using this upper with an aero lower? I seen some people say that psalm don't fit but only on a psalm lower.
Elio R on Apr 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Their is no standardized system for these. They will all vary between the producing companies. As of now. So it is best to buy the upper and lower from the same manufacture. PSA 10 has exceeded my expectations!

Will this upper my 80% arms lower?
Kiawe B on Apr 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, but you’ll need to shave ~1/16-1/8” off the top of the lower where the buffer tube attaches. It’s a quirk if the new vs. older Gen 1 style lowers and uppers.

Will a standard ar15 free float hand guard work on this?
Cory B on Nov 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: negative. 308 has a larger barrel nut, therefore you will need a 308 handguard. THE MAIN THING!!!!!! I need to get a low profile handguard. NOT a high profile one. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.

PSA Gen2 PA-10 Forged Complete MOE EPT .308 Lower with Overmolded Grip - 516447411
BEST ANSWER: Yes it's 308 cal which is higher pressure than 7.62x51. I shoot both calibers, but prefer 308 hotter speeds.
Will this fit my PSA AR 15 lower?
Tim W on May 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: May fit in place, but .308 magazines are larger than 5.56 magazines, so you won’t be able to put the .308 machine in the AR15 lower.
What scopes will mount on this upper?
Caleb D on Oct 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Really anything will work depending on your chosen scope mount. The bigger the objective on your scope the higher the scope mount must be. I have a Vortex 1x8 Strike Eagle on mine with a one piece weaver tactical mount. It is a great setup.
Yes I just recently purchased a AR10 lower I would like to know upon your opinion what is the best upper for deer hunting and hunting hogs. Do I NeedTo purchase a 20 inch or 18 inch barrel?
Snowman1 on Apr 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The 20" would allow for a little higher velocity of the round. With that said, the use of high quality ammo in the 18" barrel will be more than enough for deer and hogs. The 18 will afford you a bit more maneuverability as well.
First time buyer. Will this "PSA Gen2 PA10 Forged Complete ACS-L EPT .308 Lower With Over Molded Grip" work well with this upper? Just want to make sure im not missing anything.
Kale K on Apr 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely Kale, it comes together with the push of the two takedown pins that are on the lower and your ready to go. Just stay away from juice bars Kale. Things might get weird.

How can I tell what generation PSA lower I have?
Bob V on Oct 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: my PSA follows DPMS style with low profile top rail. once dialed in, I got one-inch groups at 100 yards with off the shelf federal ammo. At sea level with minimal to no winds that day. I lover it so much I bought two more uppers.

18" .308 upper
Great upper for a great price. Shooting 1" groups at 100 out of the box!!!

Not terrible for the money
It's definitely over gassed. But an adjustable gas block and a decent muzzle brake should fix it. Also it's slightly loose paired with the psa 10 lower. I have the one with the 2 stage trigger and that acl s stock. Hand guard is a different finish from the rest of the gun.

18" Gen 2 .308 with 15" M Lok upper complete
Havent used it a lot yet but like what Ive experienced so far. With a Holographic sight on it, I can switch from the 20" with scope and pod to this on my gen 2 lower and have a lighter more tactical feel on my 308.

Rifle did not work correctly out of the box .
Rifle did not function properly out of the box . Sent back for repairs on PSA’s dime . Was never told how the repair was done . And not notified that the rifle was being shipped back . Adult signature is required. PSA returned the rifle promptly. Will see how the rifle preforms this weekend. Rifle also has one of the worse stock triggers I have ever used . I asked PSA to take a look at it , but they didn’t.

Not a bad deal at all for the money
I purchased this upper a few weeks ago and at the same time purchased and married it to the, PSA GEN2 PA10 Complete Classic Lower Receiver - 77932912. Fit and finish at first was pretty impressive but then as I began working on the weapon I realized it would scratch a little easier than I would expect or want. But, it is still nice. Upper and lower mated great with no issues! Barrel threading was a problem though. When mounting a Lantec Dragon it was way off for the crush washer and it took a great deal of work to get this new break on and seated properly. I have installed these breaks on many different brand AR15 and AR10 and this was the first time I ever had a problem! Getting past that I did make a few other changes. The trigger that comes with the lower is mil spec and relatively no better or worse than you would expect but still for long shot, it is pretty darn bad! I replaced it with a Huperfire trigger I already had and now I am a happy camper on the trigger. I added Diamondhead iron sights and a Meopta scope with a Larue mount. Just for S&Gs I highlighted the logo and some other engraved parts of the lower. Does not do a thing to make it shoot better but it does add a little pizazz to the rifle. Also added a BADD ambi selector and a upgrade on a magpul grip and stock. It was raining but I still wanted to try her out so I went to the range. Set up on a hundred yards and was happy that with no break in, I was on paper right away. I ran for rounds total, 20 each of 147 gr boat tail Winchester and 147 gr PMC ball all with no failures. Too much weather to work on the sight so that will come in the next week or two. However, seeing I was on paper and consistent with the first 40 rounds at this distance I can say I believe for the money spent, this is a pretty darn good shooter. I wish the QC would have a better handle on threading the barrel and I could give this another star.
First PSA for me tuned out pretty darn good.

Pretty sick for the price.
It does exactly what it’s supposed to. The ejection port cover slips out some though. I have to keep popping it back into place. Killed 17 hogs with it the first week I had it.

Accurate and functional out of the box but a PERFECT host for building as you go!
Awesome rifle! I used this upper from PSA along with a stripped lower item#516445316, and the pa10 lpk upgrade item#503714. These awesome PSA components combined with a standard LPK, buffer tube/spring and ar10 short buffer from the local gun shop have my build up and running great! Additionally goodies I put on mine (with the money I saved by going with PSA vs other brands) include a 19"spiral fluted barrel with rifle length adj. Gas from, magpul acs stock, radian charging handle, KE arms trigger, and vortex strike eagle 1-6 optic. I did use the original PSA bcg that comes with this upper, it was headspaced well and runs perfect! This is an excellent rifle that uses components that aren't full of features (and cost) that I didnt need but I have an AR-10 with a custom barrel that shoots insanely good! all for less than I would have spent on other companies base model that may or may not shoot any better than a PSA anyway. I'd rather buy a $600 rifle and upgrade the barrel to a tack driver than spend 2k and still get 1-2moa
Not a noveske but a solid cost effective rifle
Scratches are courtesy of me staking the castle nut, not PSAs fault.

PSA Gen2 PA10 18" Midlength .308 WIN
I have 2 of these and they shoot great. One with the fixed site and the other with the M-lock hand rail. Both were over gassed from the start. The one with the fixed sight I was able to tame it with a extra heavy buffer. The other with a adjustable gas block . They both shoot well. I have taken 2 deer and a couple coyotes with them. The polymer 80 lower does fit the Pa10 but the curve at the rear is not an exact match, but that is only cosmetic.
