The Gen2 PA10 receivers are functionally compatible with the Gen1 receivers, however we recommend matching Gen2 lowers to Gen2 uppers for best appearance.  There are external cosmetic differences when mixing gen1 and Gen2 upper and lower receivers that some may not find appealing.

The AR10 platform does not enjoy a common design between manufacturers, like the AR15.    As a result, there can and will be subtle differences in the parts kits of various manufacturers.  Some parts, like the fire control group, are shared with the AR15 platform to preserve the options for upgrading.  For best results, we recommend only using PSA PA10 parts with our uppers and lower receivers.  We do not recommend using other manufacturers parts in our products.

does this fit dpms gen 1 gen 2 or basic ar10 uppers?
redpe on Oct 18, 2018
Does this have a mil spec buffer tube?
Fishboy180 on Apr 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, at least in terms of diameter. Mine works with mil-spec stocks.
Does this come with a magazine?
Austin A on Apr 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, mine did not. Since this lower is not caliber specific (it is marked "multi" on mine), you could use it with many different uppers, of different calibers. It would be hard to know which magazine you needed. This lower uses the "SR-25" series of magazines on Palmetto's website, not the Armalite type. Important to know when you are shopping for Magazines.
Can I get a pitnary rail on this upper?
Norman F on Jun 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, because this is a LOWER.

Does this lower accept and function properly with PMAG 10 LR/SR magazines?
Joe on May 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely the PMAG 10 LR/SR is just great, the longer magazines seem to be in the way more..Now if I were subjected to firefights I might go 20's. Happy Holidays and thank Vets for their service

PSA Gen2 PA10 18
PSA Gen2 PA10 18" Midlength .308 WIN 1:10 Stainless Steel 15" M-lok Upper - with BCG and CH -516446791
BEST ANSWER: yes, it's a good combination. You're not actually building the rifle, you're assembling it. Putt the front upper hingepoint into the front lower hinge point and push the PIN through both until it snaps in position. Close the rear of the upper against the lower, push the pen in until it snaps into position, and you are done. No you do not need to buy anything else. Headspace is already set so take it to the range and have fun. Once I got mine dialed-in, I had a blast. 5 round group a half inch circle at a hundred yards with a 20 inch barrel.
Will a mil spec rifle buffer tube work with this?
Billy on Jul 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: All mil spec AR-10 parts will work on this lower.

Charles A on Jan 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes , but I installed an after market trigger in mine. I installed a geissler SSA- E trigger and it works great

Will S&W M&P Ar-10 magazine work with this lower ?
I bought this lower & a PSA works well, but am looking for a metal magazine rather than a polymer one..
JOE on Jul 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I can't speak for that specific magazine personally but I have some metal 308 mags that fit nicely, despite reading somewhere that PMags are recommended for the platform.
Will this accept 6.5 creedmoor upper?
Sneaky on Dec 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have never done that, but 6.5 and 308 are both. Pa10. I have seen applications showing the lower as the same. I'm planning on a 6.5 in the near future. I would say yes.
Can you use this lower to build a 6.5 creedmore?
James G on Dec 18, 2018
the description says .308 but the picture shows a multi lower. which is it?
scott b on Nov 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The PA-10 lower is multi-caliber. It'll work with uppers in .308, 6.5, etc. It's just not stamped with a specific caliber.
Is there any reason to install a enhanced polished control group since it has a polished trigger?
Waterguy303 on Oct 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They are one in the same.
Do these accept standard ar 10 magazines?
Shane R on Oct 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There is no such thing as standard in the AR10 platform, unlike the ar15 mil speck.....the short answer is yes it takes standard SR25 ar10 mags.......
Is this a “DPMS pattern” lower?
Micah on Jun 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I can't speak directly to whether it is or isnt a DPMS pattern. I will say my PA-10 complete lower has worked perfectly with a DPMS Oracle AR-10 upper
Can I put a different buffer in this (one for an ar15 or does it need to be ar10 specific.)? You say a standard heavy carbine buffer, standard would mean ar15 correct?
Zack B on Jul 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: as a general rule mil spec 10 and 15 are pretty much the same buffer . BUT IN an upgrade i would higlt suggest a 10 specific . there is a big difference in the ammo // blow back // recoil etc
I recently bought a gen2 pa65 upper and it was not compatible with my dpms lr308 this lower compatible?
Kenny F on Jan 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It certainly should. I have had no problems using two other PSA uppers and one I completed on a Midway upper with these lowers. I haven't tried the 6.5 but I have heard from others it works really slick on these lowers. I would be shocked if you have any any problem.
Does this have a single stage or 2 stage trigger and do you know the factory pull weight?
Eric S on Jan 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It does have a two stage trigger and the pull between 6 to7 lbs. Excellent buy for the money. Hope this is a help, I have worked on the trigger, got it down to about 3.5 lbs.
Will this work with a KS-47 upper, 7.62 x 39?
Ron H on Jan 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I don't think so as I believe 7.62x39mm AR's are based on AR-15 uppers and lowers. The PA-10 lower is quite a bit larger than an AR-15 lower. With this having been said, I'm not familiar with the KS-47. Hope this helps!🤔
Will this lower fit something other than a PSA upper?
TreyD on Oct 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: AR10 parts are not as standardized as AR15 so it’s hard to say.

What upper are you going to use?
Will this lower fit the 300 win mag upper?
Mister J. on Sep 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Maybe not.
AR10’s are not standardized like 15’s.
Will this work with PSA GEN2 PA65 20" 6.5 CREEDMOOR 1:8 SS 15" M-LOK UPPER WITH ADJUSTABLE GAS BLOCK, GEN2 BCG, AND CH upper?

Great gun at an outstanding price!
I love this gun. Although the recoil is not bad at all, I would recommend a muzzle break. I would describe the kick as a push. The trigger is a bit stiff so I will be getting a trigger job. Over all for the price I couldn’t be happier.

Couldn't be happier with it.
This is yet another lower that I have purchased from PSA that I am very pleased with. I really appreciate the value this company gives you for the money.
My PSA Ar10 is awesome.
So far this rifle has run 600 rounds or so without a single hiccup. 😁

Fit TIGHT to my PSA ar10 upper. Real tight. The EPT was noticeably better than milspec. Highly recommend this product and I stand by PSA as a top dog company.

Made one nice 6.5 Creedmoor to add to my collection.
I think its great. Put a PSA 6.5 Creedmoor upper on it. Work perfect together. Trigger was actually better than I expected from a standard mil-spec trigger. Everything functions smoothly. Great setup.

Overall good, a little loose
Love the trigger and overall very pleased. A little more wiggle than I'd like when attached to the PSA .308 upper, but not bad.
February 21, 2019
Good lower for the price I can’t comment on the trigger I took it out as soon as I got it in and replaced with a geissele. But it a solid good lower for the price

Amazing quality, perfect fit and finish.
I do not have an upper to put on this yet, but was surprised at the quality and finish of this lower for $200. The enhanced trigger seems great for a factory lower. Can’t wait to get an upper and take it to the range.
