BEST ANSWER: A 24" 6.5 creedmoor AR barrel would be AWSOME!
Is the bolt carrier group that this 6.5 creedmore upper comes with any different then the one that comes with your 308 upper?
ryan c on Apr 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Unless PSA has changed something YES. I bought a PA65 upper in December. I just confirmed it has a single extractor and a high pressure/ small diameter firing pin bolt. I have built several LR 308 type packages using their previous 308 bolts carriers. They have never varied from the original DPMS clone. The description and images for this new bolt show both dual ejectors and High pressure/ small diameter firing pin bolt.
Can PSA install a longer M-Lock rail at time of purchase? One longer then 15"?
Johnny on Apr 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: That would make it difficult to adjust the (adjustable) gas block in the field, I would think.
Is your gen 2 6.5 Creedmoor upper compatible with a dpms gen 2 lower?
Norman G on Apr 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It's compatible with a DPMS Gen 1 lower though. Roughly 1/8" needs to be shaved off the top of the lower where the buffer tube screws in to the lower. The bolt catch latch used on most DPMS style lowers needs to be shaved a little as well on the surface that would otherwise be blocked by the upper receiver.
Will this set up work with a SR 25 lower?
ken m on Apr 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Unlikely... there is no milspec for .308AR's... so your best bet, would to be buying a PSA lower.
I noticed in some of the customer pics the casings were kind of smashed around the top and dinged up. Is that normal?
Michael W on Dec 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Only if you use them
Will I have trouble using the Gen 2 lower that is labeled 308 on your 6.5 Creed Moor upper?
Bryan D on Jan 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I feel they are the same as long as you stay with Palmetto State Armory. Please remember A-10 are not built on the same mil specs as the M-4. Also you have to choose carefully with buffer tube assemblies. I have found the A-10 has three different tube assemblies. If you stick with PSA pieces and parts you will be good. I am using a AR 10 mag from a .308 in my 6.5 creedmoor.
I have a 308 win with a Gen 2 PA10lower . Rifle model #5165**9242. Can I put this 6.5 creedmoor Model # 5165**7615, upper on my existing lower?? any differences?? Magazine?? any issues??
Scott C on Nov 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It should work just fine on your Gen 2 Lower. You can use the same magazines that you are using for your .308. When you get the upper look closely for burrs in the the chamber, I have been fighting those issues since I got the upper. I think I have them finally worked out but will not know for sure until I get to the range this afternoon.
What do I need to go with this to have a complete rifle ?
Jeff F on Dec 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: All you need and is easier to get buy an complete AR10 gen2 lower and will will pin right to your upper and be ready. Are you can build an whole lower yourself but faster,an easier and about the same money just buy an complete lower from PSA
Will the psa 10 lowers work on this?
mattheau f on Oct 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I built a 80% AR10 lower for one of my 308 builds and used a PSA upper for the build. I went with 80% arms for the lower. I used cmmg lower parts kit (lpk) and everything worked flawlessly except for the top of the lower where the buffer tube is installed has to be shaved off probably from about .080 to .120 to allow the charging handle to be pulled to the rear and clear as it should work. The only problem is I still haven't painted that area back to a black color as of yet...
Was watching the YouTube video that is found on this page and he unboxes it and in the box there is a PMAG 20 and a lock. Is this still the case?
Usmon S on Aug 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I believe those items come with the purchase of the full rifle, which is a different product code or SKU than the upper. They just ship the upper and lower in separate boxes and include the mag and lock when the full rifle is ordered.
Is the rail flat or does it have any MOA?
James on Oct 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The rail is flat ( mine is ) it has an adjustable gas block, hope this helps!!Enter
Is the gas block pre adjusted at the factory or does it need to be adjusted after purchase?
Newt57 on Aug 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Needs to be adjusted, load one round in chamber insert empty mag, the bolt should lock back when you fire. Mine was open all the way, I screwed it all the way in, then opened one turn at a time until the bolt locked back.
Getting small dent in brass !
Hitting the nuckle on side when edjecting wondering if need to adjust gas block ?
Rob A on Dec 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Sounds like it's slightly over gassed if you have an adjustable block you can turn it down some. The shell should come out of the ejection port in the 1-to 3 o'clock attitude.
Will this fit a dpms lower reciever mill spec ?
Harry B on Dec 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It fits my DPMS LR308 Gen 1 lower. However there is no mil spec receiver for the AR10 platform so if you are talking about a mil spec 5.56 lower, it will not fit.

Will any PA-10 Uppers fit on an LWRC REPR lower?
Sunny on Aug 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes PA-10 uppers will fit or are interchangeable with any AR-10 lower platform. However, there are external cosmetic differences when mixing upper and lower receivers that some may not find appealing.

Will this upper fit any AR-10 lower??
Koonie85 on Dec 21, 2018

Will this upper fit an Aero ME51 308 lower?
Greg Z on May 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It should. You may (likely) will need to shave ~1/8" off the top of the lower where the buffer tube screws into the lower.

Very Accurate = Very Happy
So far after 100 rounds I'm very pleased. Shooting the Hornady Black 140gr BTHP it is holding 0.5 - 0.75 MOA out to 300 yards (which is shocking to be honest for the price point). Would definitely recommend turning down the gas a bit as it'll dent your brass if you dont.

Overall gun looks nice. It’s a little bit on the heavy side but, kinda expected that so was not that upset about that. But very disappointed in the action of the gun so far I have wasted more rounds than what I’ve been able to shoot. It jams almost every shot. Sent it back for repair and got it back, 3 shots into it starts jamming again.

Extremely Accurate and low recoil
Previously I had an 18” AR10 in 308. Was hesitant to buy a 6.5 but I’m glad I did! Before I shot it I ADJUSTED THE GAS WAY DOWN... simple and takes about 2 minutes so please don’t be too lazy to do this. After break in I shot a 1/2” group at 100yds with federal non typical 140gr off a bench. Far exceeded my expectations. No malfunctions and gun is soooo smooth! Recoils as much as my 5.56 AR’s! It is very heavy.

I have: Warne 1 piece 20MOA mount, Burris 4.5-14 mtac, LUTH AR MBA-1 fixed rifle stock, and a precision armament muzzle brake.

Nice overall
This upper is a good deal. The only complaint I have is it came without any gas block adjustent instructions. This thing kicks the brass out so hard against the brass deflector its dinging everyone. I have tried numerous times to adjust the gas block but it switches between dinging the shoulder to the rim of the case. I have tried to make very small adjustments with no success.
