PSA PA10 308 carbine buffer spring

For use in PSA PA-10 and PTAC Tac-10 lowers.

The AR10 platform does not enjoy a common design between manufacturers, like the AR15.    As a result, there can and will be subtle differences in the parts kits of various manufacturers.  Some parts, like the fire control group, are shared with the AR15 platform to preserve the options for upgrading.  For best results, we recommend only using PSA PA10 parts with our uppers and lower receivers.  We do not recommend using other manufacturers parts in our products.

What is the length of this spring and how many coils does it have ?
Sammy S on Apr 30, 2018
I have a .243 Win upper mounted on a DPMS AR 10 .308 lower. Does this buffer spring (PSA PA10 CARBINE BUFFER SPRING - 504269) work with the lighter .243 or is there another spring that will?
Wayne B on Jun 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: In theory it should work, but buffers and springs can be very finicky in both the 5.56 and the 7.62 depending on your ammunition.
Would this spring work for a 556 10.5 inch pistol length gas system that is suppressed?

would not run in my PA10
Have had numerous problems with my PA10 and heard that this buffer spring might solve some of them. Wrong. Just made things worse. My PA 10 is a few years old and no telling what has changed on current production guns but mine is terribly over gassed. I put the original spring back in and the gun runs again as long as I shoot 150-grain bullets running about 2450 fps, small base size the brass and heavy crimp on the bullet.

Just what I needed
Seems to be good quality
This spring is idea for your 9mm build as you need a slightly heavier spring as well as a 9mm buffer

This solved a issue with my colt mag 9mm ar as the cyclic rate was just a little to fast before I installed this spring now it works perfect
