Do LCP Mags work in the LCP II?
John S on Apr 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: John they do work, but however the slide will not lock up with the LCP1 mags. Only with the LCP2 mags
How many mags does it come with?
Jeff C on Apr 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Mine came with two, one had the finger rest extension.
Does it come with the sleeve for your pocket?
Travis P on May 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes it does.
Does the cocked internal hammer with no safety make anyone nervous?
Randy H on May 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The LCPII has a “Glock style” trigger safety unlike the original LCP. I had the original LCP before I purchased the LCPII and trusted it just fine. I have pocket carried both and never had any problems from either LCP model. Just remember basic gun safety rules and it should be fine. :)
Is this a good hand gun for a novice?
harry on Jun 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This is a small pistol and it would seem to me that a larger pistol would be better for a true novice. Of course, with practice a novice should do fine but would then no longer be a novice.
For those of you who have experience with the LCP CUSTOM, how does the LCP II compare? I know it's worlds above the LCP "1". I'm looking for a comparison to the LCP Custom. Thanks!

Only comes with ONE 6 round Mag
$219 and free shipping is a pretty good price on this latest generation of the LCP. I see the original gen 1's advertised for around $169, but according to the reviews this latest version has a much better trigger, and the slide holds open after the last round (something I don't think the Gen-1 do). Omaha Outdoors is advertising Glock 42's (380 mouse gun) NIB for $409, and it comes with 2- 6 rnd mags. Adding another $30-35 for an extra Ruger mag, may just make this a deal breaker for me.

This type Jamming ain't good!
I bought this for my daughter to carry in her purse and the pistol works fine for that purpose but she also needs a performing firearm and having a jam every other shot don't cut it.
I tried everything I could think of and then everything that my friends could come up with and to no avail.
Got new mags and if that don't fix it then it is back to Ruger.
What good is a weapon that will not work as it should????

Great little pocket pistol for those hot days with shorts and a t-shirt on.
I've shot over 500 rounds of mixed ammo and not one problem

Good with a few negatives
First off I am a newer pistol shooter with average to large hands. So far after 100-150 rounds I have had no malfunctions. Easy to disassemble and clean. Put some paint on sights to aid in acquisition. I have trouble getting a good grip on it to shoot with any kind of accuracy. Being so light it has a sharp recoil. No more than 10yrds for ME but you may vary. Also I have had the mag release on my in my back pocket a few times. Also it throws the brass at random which I really hate. Sometime landing 20 ft right then others landing on my head. I am use to a Beretta 92 that could land it in a 5gal bucket 90% of time. Overall I like it but has some negatives as well.

Great little shooter
The trigger is much improved on the LCP II vs the original LCP. Gun shoots great and is very accurate for what it is at the intended ranges. I had one hang up on the last round in the first magazine shot thru the gun and zero issues since.

My only complaint would be that Ruger only includes one magazine with the gun and additional mags are a little on the pricey side. I mean c'mon Ruger, you couldn't put 2 mags in the box?

Palmetto State was quick in shipping and the purchases process was quick and easy once I finally caught one in stock.

Ruger LCP II 380
The Ruger LCP II 380 is a perfect concealed carry pistol. It is compact and light weight, the trigger is perfect. if you are looking for a compact lightweight pistol the Ruger LCP II 380 is it. I recommend the Hornady Critical Defense Ammo.

An LCP ll makes for a great backup pistol and/or a perfect carry piece for those unbearably hot days.
Great pistol and absolutely great service from Palmetto State Armory.

I qualify with the Ruger LCP II on an annual basis (retired LEO), and I continue to score a 98 or 99 (99/100). This is amazingly accurate for me, although if needed for self-defense it would be at a very short distance and aiming would be unnecessary. This does not have a safety, so you should undergo training to make certain that you instinctively keep your finger away from the trigger unless you are ready to fire the weapon. Training is extremely important for any person who desires to own a firearm.

I needed a smaller weapon to carry in my sports car that doesn't have lots of storage space and this 380 was ideal for that purpose. and the price was fantastic!
