Introducing the Pro Hunter III SX, equipped with Steyr's groundbreaking Safe Bolt System (SBS). This model boasts a robust green synthetic buttstock with polymer inlays and an aluminum bedding block, ensuring stability and durability. The cold hammer-forged barrel is renowned for its exceptional accuracy, while Steyr's patented Mannox finish provides superior protection against wear and corrosion. This impenetrable finish safeguards the rifle from rain, moisture, sweat and blood. The SBS system features a unique 3-position roller tang safety, conveniently located behind the bolt. The bolt itself is equipped with four forward locking lugs that require a 60 degree rotation to unlock, along with multiple gas ports. A patented safety bushing offers enhanced protection against unexpected, excessive chamber pressure and escaping gases. Steyr has rigorously tested this bushing with high-pressure proof rounds up to 120000 psi without causing any damage to the rifle. Additionally, the Pro Hunter III SX includes an innovative two-stage magazine release. This allows the user to safely close the bolt without chambering a round when the magazine is in its lowest position, without needing to remove the magazine from the rifle.
