AR-15 question

Hi I’m Mike I’m new to the AR-15 build scene and my question is would it be better to buy a whole AR-15 or part it out. I’ve seen the Kits for it but I’m kinda skeptical on them. I’ve also looked into AR pistols. Again I’m new to the AR build scene but not new to shooting. Any Information would be helpful thanks.

Polymer lowers

I built my 5.56 PSA kits on 80% polymer lowers from eparmory in Burnett, TX (near Austin). They sell for $30 each. (shipping time is about 12 weeks, so I drove there from San Antonio to pick mine up) Have fired about 200 rounds through them so far - and the owner said to do a full mag dump whenever I want to test them out against aluminum. Build or Buy

I will say this; from what I have heard from others who have opted to build their own AR-V/AR-9, this kind of project can face more complications than your average, run-of-the-mill AR-15 build. I would purchase and change, unless you’re absolutely comfortable already with how your chosen gas system, bolt group, and spring will interact with each other. Again, this is second hand observation, but it is what I would do.

AR-15 question

I built my first one with a PSA AR pistol kit. It was a lot of fun to put together, and has been a blast to shoot. You do have to have some hand tools and some ability to use them, but it’s rewarding to do it yourself.
