AAC Ammo Question - 6.8 SPC & 6.5 Grendel

Hello everyone,

I’m asking this question after failed attempts on AAC FB page and AK FB Group. Please let me start this off by saying that i’ve absolutely love Palmetto State Armory. The Deals, Core Values and The AK’s!!! I’m not a AR guy but the retro line has me excited. ALSO, please know that i’m in no way, shape or form asking/demanding PSA To make a specific product for me nor am I asking palmetto state to seize production on all products, to only cater to me… and let’s get this done by Wednesday ok… Ready break…

Sorry, everyone in AK group thought I was demanding they do this and build guns which is nothing of the sort. I’m just curious is there has been any conversation/discussion or plans to at some point, nothing priority, but any talks about AAC Making 6.8 SPC and 6.5 Grendel Ammo?

So not to contradict my previous statement, I don’t like AR’s unless there LWRC. As a LEO, they’ve done amazing things for me and i’m brand loyal and won’t switch. Same reason I switched all my AK’s to PSA. Anyways, I was given a 6.5 Grendel Bolt gun for my B-day and gonna put the Sighmark Mini Wraith for dedicated NV Hunting rig (We have 30 Aceres in East TX, Longest shot range have been lasered at 335 yards. 90% are 250 yards. Been Taking hogs/coyotes with GF5 and AK74 and will continue to do so. I was recently given a Ruger Ranch 6.5 Grendel 16" threaded, Adding Sightmark Wraith Mini for dedicated Night hunt gun. I was recently promoted at work and my dad/brother/wife came together and bought me a top 3 grail gun, LWRC M6-A5 6.8 SPC 14.7, To be fair, Holy Grail was the PSD 6.8 from Future Weapons, but ammo prices and lack of 85Grain Barnes or 90 Grain Gold Dots, not looking to use it for defense at this time. Anways, building this into my Personal SPR Rifle (Goals: 2x12 Scope, 508 V2 T & Modlite OKW Hog, Full Power Holosun Laser I’m going to build this into my SPR Rig, Deer and Hog Rifle.

I would love to see defensive 85Grain V-Max or 90 Grain V-Max 6.8 SPC and a 110/120 V-Max or OTM. and a 6.5 Grendel Round at some point if possible. Just wanted to know if PSA/AAC has had any discussion about making either caliber. Thought there was a chance since PSA has been selling 6.8 and 6.5 Grendel Uppers for years. I would love them to make both. I havent heard anything about those calibers and they didnt have samples at SHOT for 6.8 or 6.5. I could see that eventually being made though.

Especially 6.5 Grendel. Goodness knows that upper has collected dust.

PSA and sister companies still make guns in both calibers, which gives me hope.

Same, Picked out my 6.5 Grendel due to the cost of Wolf ammo. By the time I recvd it with Layaway. Wolf steel case was gone. Picked up all 10 boxes of Hornandy Black, sighted it in and it’s hasn’t lef the safe

However I do confess its a little bit of laziness mixed in on my part to shoot up what I have. Same goes for my 224 Valkyrie which Im actually more motivated to shoot. The problem is finding a spot in the desert with enough unobstructed distance as the local range is only 250Y point blank. Thanks to PSA making it all affordable with their uppers you can just swap out on a single lower.
