What are y’all doing for AKV sling setups? Specifically, for the AKVs with the triangle brace. How are you attaching slings to the brace. Looking for ideas. Thanks.

I don’t know how much this will help since I went all Magpul, but here is mine. I’ve seen some people modify the triangle brace with a QD socket, if you want to try that route.

That looks good. Where did you do the engraving and how long was your wait?
Engraving is on the right side and was done at my local gunsmith. Wait time was about 28 days and was over last Christmas.

This interferes with the triangle folding brace though doesn’t it?

You do realized that you converted your AK-V into SBR (short barrel rifle) with all the restrictions and registrations associated with it?
He said its engraved and he went through the SBR process.
You mean the one that I have the tax stamp for that cost me an extra $200?

I followed a youtube tutorial, modified one of these M1 Garand USGI Sling Clips:
Cut a hole in the middle so that it would fit between the stock and the swivel. To be noted, I have the triangular folding stock…
Took me about 45 minutes to cut it out with a Dremel cutting disk. Excuse the paracord, that is meant to be temporary.
