I went to my local Bass Pro store this morning to buy some .45 acp. I was totally stunned. The ammo aisle was like walking through the candy aisle yhe morning after Halloween…the only things there no one wanted. I mean the shelve were so empty I could’ve layed down with out knocking anything off! And I’m 6’4"!!
What’s going on? Oh, no ammo for me today…
I gave up on brick and mortar ammo. Either it’s massively inflated prices, or they don’t have it. https://www.ammunitiondepot.com/ is my one stop shop these days.
Edit: I also utilize the app Ammoseek. You can sort by reputable shippers, and search for pretty much anything at the lowest price available.
That was why I went to Bass. Ammoseek had .45 as the 3rd lowest price in the country at the time. I wouldn’t pay shipping and could use my Veteran discount. My Bass ALWAYS has tons of ammo. I was totally stunned there today.
i was in psa today and picked up 1 box of .45 I wanted a decent round for some new .45s i picked up lately so i bought the AAC hollow point 230 grain box of 50 for like 30.00 it wasnt bad for hollow point i suppose but i couldnt find any other aac 45 while i was there and for now thats the only ammo mfgr i want to buy and feed my farm’s chickens. I have quite a few chickens, so it does require a lot of aac. lol

There is no ammo shortage, you just looking in the wrong place bud. I just purchased lots of ammo from 3 different vendors online dirt cheap. Online is where’s at.

Do not rely too much on ammoseek, they do not show all the vendors. Check out 2A Warehouse, LAX Ammo, Tactical surplus USA, De Leon pharmacy and sporting goods iAMMORivertown MunitionsTexas Munition****Liberty Shooting Sportsand Freedom Munitions. I can give you a long list, but with these ones you will be set. Tactical Surplus have 30.06 for 17.15. They are always in stock and the shipping is nothing, they also always have 30-30 for like 17 bucks. There is no ammo shortage. The Bass pro shop prices are ridiculously high. This is what I do, I type for example 9mm 124gr and keep checking site by site, it takes time but you will find some good deals with real good shipping costs. Happy Shooting!!!
I forgot Grabagun, they restock like every 3 days or so. Put yourself on the waiting list and you receive emails as soon they restock. Prices are pretty good and shipping is super-low. Believe me, they restock weekly. You wont believe how much ammo I have from multiple calibers and 75% are rifles.

I used to buy from Ammoman before SGAmmo, and now I try to buy PSA’s AAC as much as possible even if it’s acouple dollars more just to support PSA’s arming of America.
im trying to swap over to only purchasing AAC ammo, for the same reason, and more.
I was warned by the staff in the PSA in Myrtle Beach a few months ago that a shortage was coming and to buy now, because it’s going to be worse than 2020.
Well, it doesn’t matter now. It’s pouring buckets. Ordering gets me ammo next week. I wanted to go today!
I think they ought to give an ammo discount to anyone who owns one or more of their gun’s, I think it would be a win ,win!
