It is the only thing I have found that is obviously different from any other rifle I have owned, nothing else shows a problem and since timing is everything with semi autos, it is the only thing that seems suspect. Everything else looks normal and all is still in the original factory configuration.
PSA has not responded to any of my recent inquiries, so I guess I’m on my own figuring this out.
Are you using 10rd pmags? 10rd pmags have to be sanded because they have a bump on the back. Although it will seat in the magwell it will cant the front of the mag up just enough that the bcg won’t strip another round.
had the same problem with 10rd steel mags, 20rd steel mags and 20rd Magpul mags. It isn’t a problem of stripping the next round, it’s a problem of getting the previous round out of the way. It jams the next round into the empty or if you are firing single loaded rounds the empty just lays on top of the follower and doesn’t consistently eject the fired case.
Have you tried a different BCG?
I have asked PSA to sell me a bolt. I don’t think it is a bolt carrier problem, I think the actual bolt is the problem. I know I could buy an entire BCG, but I would think PSA would want to help me with this problem. They must be overwhelmed with requests as I’m not getting any response from them.
It is a busy time of year. I will be with some of the folks tomorrow on our monthly check in regarding the forums. I will ask and send you a PM on what I can find out.
Thanks. I appreciate the help.
@tshaw53011 i saw @sean.psa today and he is going to try and work on this for you.
I got the new BCG yesterday. It looks much better than the original. I will let you know how it performs when I get a chance to try it out. Thank you very much for all the help!
What do you do to get a new BCG from them? Mine has malfunctioned from day 1.
I started showing pictures of my rifle’s malfunctions here and one of the moderators stepped in with the warranty department to expedite the BCG. I wasn’t getting much out of the warranty department before that, I’m sure they are swamped with enquiries. The only response I had gotten was to tell me to set the gas block to 16 clicks open. I had already gone from zero to wide open with no luck, but I did try their suggestions and worked up and down from there with no improvement. My bolt had obvious machining issues, but the new BCG looks great.
I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet, but I’m hopeful this will help. Do you have any pictures of your bolt face? I will attach pics of mine for comparison.
Thanks, Terry

Happy Birthday @tshaw53011 ![]()
enjoy your day!
What’s with the dual ejectors? Did your original one have 2 also?
The dual ejectors were supposed to improve ejection with the 6.5 Creedmoor.
Afternoon,
Having similar issues with my PSA AR10. Tried adjusting the gas to no avail. The malfunctions do increase with 168 g federal premium ammo. Oiled up extremely well. Tried to upload video but will not allow new user access. I have ordered the Odin buffer weight kit and new spring. This has occurred since new. The case on an empty chamber will lock back on empty mag but spent round bounces back in the chamber.
Thanks,
Specs:
PSA10 upper and lower
Adjustable gas block
Factory buffer spring and orange weight
Norma 150 ammo
What magazine?
I have tried 20 round pmag and hex mag.
How did you adjust the gas. Did you start fully closed or open? Are you using a suppressor?
Yes correct, closed all the way and slowly opened until caught magazine. By the time it catches magazine the malfunctions start. I am not running suppressed.
Upload of cycling with one round in pmag.
