I would be curious to know if Cabela’s Club cards are being tracked. I’ve had one since before Bass Pro bought them, but it is rarely used, only at Cabela’s.
Cabela’s/BassPro is not the actual “Card Issuer” - that is Mastercard. It certainly IS tracked.
I use my BassPro Blackcard for literally every purchase, paying it off monthly, and get SPAM email and snailmail garbage constantly, as well as Googly Ads related to what I’ve used the card for - only varying on what I recently purchased.
That’s “Commercial Tracking” - the Alphabet Agencies have at least the resources at their disposal that companies have.
Before the buyout Cabela’s supposedly had their own bank. It was a big reason why Bass Pro wanted them. I don’t know if they still maintain that bank or not.
Visa, Mastercard, AmEx to categorize gun store sales separately
Guess this answers that.
They’re both Capital One - I’ve got a “BassPro” and previously had a “Cabela’s Classic”, which The Wife still has - both “types” accessed through the same app.
My original Cabela’s card was a Visa. Coincidentally it was the only card I have ever had hacked. The replacement was then hacked before it was even activated. Got a phone call asking if I had tried to order scuba equipment from Florida.
Mine was too - I seem to recall a Bank change sometime after the BassPro merger-fiasco. About the time I divested myself of my original Club Card.
Anyway, here’s a well-educated Opinion on the upcoming “amnesty” that the ATF is considering for AR/AK-based Pistols:
This man has not been right 100% of the time on predicting ATF Shenanigans - but he’s been right often-enough that I Trust his Judgment in this particular matter.
I would say we should pass this information along to friends and family, other sites, etc.
If he’s Wrong - there’s no harm done. If he’s RIGHT, however….
I wonder if CC companies have a separate code for the pot dispensaries who sell Federally banned illegal substances such as POT!!! How do banks get away with processing those charges and handling their accounts - seems like money laundering to me but I’m no lawyer, I just stayed in a Holiday Inn last night.
They vote democrat…and yes, it basically is money laundering. 10% for the big guy.
FREAKING AWESOME. Just makes me love PSA even more.
When will it be available?
Can’t they still track your purchases through paypal?
GOA has been talking about this for a little bit. They keep exposing the garbage that the ATF is involved in hopes to get them disbanded after the NFA gets struck down
Yep. I’ve had zero issues. They’ll send a confirmation email verifying I made the purchase ![]()
I was asking if they still know what you bought though
In the latest move to trample the 2nd amendment the FBI and ATF gain more power…

Remember to vote! That is pretty much the only defense against this attack on OUR rights.

Yo… i ain’t going to lie. i’m not messing up my credit score for some fear mongers. they already have a list of everything you bought on your credit cards for years nothing really changed except peoples credit scores. if there’s a list im on it because i can’t wait 2hrs after i receive a new firearm to post it on the internet for the last 10 years… they already have my dna, every finger print, my eyes, probably my ballsack too… don’t live your life in fear, instead enjoy each day
Amen!
IMO-I’m for the complete abolition of the AFT and the NFA. All gun laws are an infringement.
The IRS doesn’t have to be the boogeyman. The government should fear its citizens.
I’m for simplifying the tax code. Simplified so that all can pay federal taxes even if it’s just one dollar. So simple that the tax information can be filled out on a index card and schedule a payment later. We need all Americans involved with the tax and federal process. Maybe it could impact on how people vote ![]()
