There are two (2) N.Y.‘s - North & South - i.e. - upstate & downstate - “The Tail” is wagging The Dog !!! Lower NY is Extremely LIBERAL - and Upstate is Very CONSERVATIVE !
…and NEVER shall the two meet in agreement - SOOOOOOO… let’ simply get on with it!
Let’s start a movement to split the state in to two (2) state… Texas id starting the process of TEXIT (like Brixit). We need to rid ourselves of the huge burden of fight each other constantly… SPLIT … and each go our own way… I KNOW Upstate will THRIVE … and downstate will likely DIE! Pray this will happen SOON!!! It definitely would be nice unfortunately we have places like Rochester and I imagine Buffalo that are also on Board with the Big city . I myself live in Northern NY above Fort Drum and we’re sick and tired of the Regulations and restraints that the city creates . I agree on separation
Binghamton is also like the City. Big cities tend to be Liberals since there is a lot of free stuff and government handouts.

I agree. I live 2 hours north of Manhattan. Totally different world and a better one.

Im Downstate and have Upstate feelings. I can stand the restrictions out here. I am definalty a rebel to NY. I shi p my parts out of state and then to me. Cost a lil more but i get them.
