Yesterday I forgot to put the filter basket in the coffee maker. Saw it in sink after the 2nd cup… “That’s why my coffee tastes different this morning.”

I use The Wife’s Keurig. It makes pretty good coffee, especially with a Zero water filter.
Actually, no matter WHAT you use, I daresay that your coffee will improve immediately using a Zero water filter.
Good morning everybody. I thought it was just me. A few months ago I forgot to put any coffee in the filter basket and brewed a refreshing pot of hot water.
I have an RO filter system and you’re right it makes a huge difference in coffee and whatnot.

I and 2 others on shift watched a 4th co-worker put a fresh k-cup in the kurig along with topping off the water, select the cup size then forget to put the cup under the machine not once but twice about a week apart.
That’s “Step 1” for me.
(Or the comedy watching me trying to catch the coffee with my hands would be something you’d see on my Wife’s YouTube channel!)

I’m >50 years old and do not drink it. I tried once (1 cup) and couldn’t stand it. I never tried it again. Now just the smell of it gives me a headache. When my wife doesn’t want me around her, she will make a cup and just sit there holding it - kind of like mosquito spray.
