Both dont work

finally got to use my (2) 10.5 classic pistol uppers today…both failed miserably dont feed…also they jam halfway going into chamber. or not at all!..horrible on both…swapped mags same thing…steel and brass…wouldnt run wouldnt eject half the time if not more feed ramps dont look bad…i refuse to do anything to these that will void warranty they should work as intended…i tried 4 different lowers on both…swapped out buffer springs also buffers… etc…nothing worked…i charge it…first round goes off…nothing after that…will psa make these work right id prefer different ones…im pretty good with trouble shooting but dam… they are both carbine length with carbine length springs all from their sba3 kits…thanks guys

Post some pics. I have not seen anyone who has had issues.

Also:

What ammo?

What mag?

Running a suppressor?

Did you lube it?

i used these uppers on my m&p15 sport 2 lowers just to see…same gig…its not the lowers…
i have 3 good m&p15s that run flawless no matter what i use…if i have to use certain mags or certain ammo these aint worth keeping so those questions dont mean much…lol …i should be able to use any ammo or any mags…yes she is lubed…both are

Except that isnt how it works. When you change ammo or the gas system (you said you tried different buffers and springs) you most certainly could have issues.

Also, what caliber? You failed to mention it.

i didnt change anything…they were new upper in box with a2 fsb.
they say carbine length…so i used carbine length springs that came with the sba3 braces…they are both 556

Sounds like possibly bad magazines. What brand mags are they?

Without pics or slow mo video of the action while it fires, it’s impossible to diagnose the problem over the net.

mags run flawless in m&p’s standard pmags gen 2 …this is what i mean with these no name parts…good from far…far from good…lol im returning them…im a prepper…not buying them to colorfilll the little letters i bought them to potentially fight with…if they dont work new…i have zero interest in psa

Only seems appropriate based on your response…:rofl::rofl:

lol…ok i slowed down some video i had…it looks like its picking up the first round when i charge it…ejects the round…but doesnt pick up the next so that could be a stiff spring?..can i snip it shorter to check?..i have a few…but also i have has feeding issues going into the chamber…which would be separate

If it doesnt pick up the next round there could be a variety of issues…but they all boil down to the bcg moving too fast.

An H2 buffer (or maybe h3) could potentially solve the issue.

Edit: are you using the same buffer for every upper?

so this spring is to stiff?? yes…i bought 3 anderson lowers built them out with sba3 brace kits from psa…all my rifles and pistols are carbine…i dont use anything else

Tell us specifically what parts you have.

Ultimately, if you believe there’s a problem with the PSA products, you should contact customer service for a warranty claim.

im going to try my m&p15 BCG in these today and ill check back with yall
so far swapping springs didnt work…and it did the same thing with m&p15 lower…so im pretty sure its an upper issue…im thinking maybe not enough gas…it makes sense…it seems to be short stroking…when i charge the handle myself it loads rounds each time and ejects them

Gonna go back to some of @GuitarGuy first questions on this issue.

What ammo?

If you are using subs/steel cased/reloads that could be an indicator.

Did you lube it?

Try running it wet and I mean WET. with out seeing a video of it or in person it doesn’t sound like its missing by much. If that’s a no go contact CS they will get you fixed up.

so i was hand feeding rounds with charging handle…they didnt feed well…i decided to smooth out the feed ramp area with a drill bit a piece of 500 grit by hand sliding back and forth till smooth…now its feeding much better…soon as neighbors wake up im shooting this ■■■■■…lol hope it feeds on its own…cross your fingers i did notice charging each round by hand some double feeds…so???

so its doing the same dam thing…but if i cycle them by hand with charging handle they cycle thru and eject with live rounds…im thinking its a gas problem

At this point we have asked several questions and for pics and that has not been provided. Plus you have said that you have modified the feed ramps. As Customer Service is not on the forums, you will need to contact them. I recommend using the chat function. Take note that orders and CS is swamped right now, so it may take 48 hours for them to get back in touch with you.
