My preference is for light weight and @GuitarGuy 's link to the complete upper has the heavier barrel profile. Consider the pencil barrel equivalent below. You’ll have less weight out front with no realistic negatives other than $10 greater cost. There are also options without sights, but if it’s your first foray into the world of AR, sights seem like a good add-on. You can always replace/remove/upgrade them later, of course.
