Executive order

Well, to begin with, this thing with the arm brace is an utter contradiction of what the ATF wanted in the first place. They wanted them to put on AR-15 pistols to differentiate them from short barrel rifles (SBR) who have a different type of stock. Because if they had the regular stock on them, we’d have to pay the $200 Federal fee because it is a SBR. And now they’re telling us we can’t put the arm brace on these AR-15 pistols, because this shooter in Boulder Colorado had one on his AR-15 rifle/pistol and therefore it is now a bad thing for the thousands of people who now have them on their AR-15 pistols. The ATF is totally confused as are all the Congresspersons in Congress!
These people don’t know if they’re coming or going with regard to using “Arm Braces” on AR-15’s pistols! Sad!
That holds true too for this whole “Ghost Gun” thing TOO! I really don’t know how they got on this kick and how that name came about other than they lacked a registration number. For years people who had criminal intent didn’t go and sit down and spend hours and days building kit guns, Noo… they just took regular guns and used them and scratched off the serial numbers, or they stole them or they got them on the black market or they got them from ???, or Young Mass murderers got them from their parents house or their parents even bought them their firearms, but they didn’t sit at home & order all the parts from different parts makers and sit there and get the tools and put these together! Nope it just didn’t happen that way, but for some reason these folks in Congress got this bug about these so called ghost guns! Their kit guns or self-build firearms and the men and women that build them take great pride in building them because they can do it their own way and not just go buy one off the shelf at “Jim’s Guns and Archery Store”. No, it’s become a hobby for many, many people, and if you look at most of the mass shootings recently, over the last 10-15 years, hardly any, if none at all, we’re done with these so called ghost guns. The guy in Boulder went out and bought his gun legally, the guy in Atlanta who shot the women, bought his gun legally, the kid in Newtown who killed all those children had his mother buy him his guns legally. 99.9% of these people did not use ghost guns. I heard of just two incidents of people using ghost guns in homicides over the last couple of years, and that’s out of thousands of murders committed using other firearms, so what is the percentage there, pretty small, yet these Congresspersons have this thing about ghost guns! WHY? It just makes me sad! Don’t these people have anything better to do, like stop wars or take care of our problems with our international adversaries, aren’t they a bigger problem? Why are they messing with us Americans, as they might need us someday.
