Howdy Y'all! Where in Texas are you from?

Not from Texas, but lived there from 1979 to 86. USAF stationed at Carswell AFB. I lived in Azle, Texas - 17 miles west of Ft Worth. Had horned toad lizards outside my house and scorpions inside. Been across Texas from west to east, north to south and diagonally. Saw Roadrunners while driving to Lubbock, and tumbleweeds driving to Amarillo. Seen dust storms obscure the whole town of Ft Worth. Been to Abilene, Beaumont, Orange, Houston, San Antonio, Texarkana, and El Paso. Of course Dallas. I flew on B-52 bomber in the tail gun compartment and saw pretty much the whole state from the air. We used to fly a low altitude bombing (training) route along the Rio Grande. That was cool. I got friends who live there, and I can say without a doubt, that I enjoyed my time there. Been to the stockyards and saw Johnny Cash, Hank Jr. and Chuck Berry to name a few at Billy Bob’s.

Garland Tx. First time PSA buyer. Just placed order for KS47. I can’t stand the wait. How many days did it take for yall to receive your items in Tx? What was the FFL fee? I used McClelland Gun Shop. Seem like good guys working there. Thx for any info.

Welcome to the forum. It seems like it took about 10 days or so for my AR pistol. I paid the FFL $30 which was fine with me since he lives close and is a great guy.

Humble, TX
Near the Houston Intergalactic Airport.
Close enough to Houston……but far enough away from the craziness of it too.

Thanks for reply. Friday can’t come soon enough.

It was only about 5 days and my upper showed up……but it took about 3 or 4 weeks for the lower. Getting the upper just made me anxious….daily…hourly checking for email or tracking information. By the time I began losing hope….it showed up :+1:t2:
Worth the wait. Hell yes.
While your waiting….stock pile that 7.62x39 ammo and some AK mags.
That break-in process for the KS-47 is a Bear. You will be cussing up a storm for the lack of last round bolt hold open. That 308 buffer spring is a beast. Lots of lube on that buffer spring. I destroyed a charging handle during the break in process….practicing reloads.
But once it’s broken in…the action cycling will be buttery smooth.
Of all my guns…. I love them all…like my children, I am closest to my AK and my KS-47. The AK and the KS-47 require a little more involvement than other guns……but it will result in an affection for them….because of your involvement. There is going to be some small issues that you will have to give extra attention to…but those times and the attention will give you a better perspective on its operation….and pride in achievement. The KS-47 it’s a great adventure !

Garland Tx. NE side of DFW. Hour drive to my Target Rich Environment. New KS 47 is dialed in nicely and is earning itself a Cult following w my 223 shooting buddies. They’re jealous of those big holes I make in these hogs.

I grew up in the Philly area…met a gal from Texas and the rest is history…

We lived in Odessa for 20 years and awhile back we relocated to the Houston area…south of downtown not far from Galveston…I love this area and proud to be a Texan.
