Anyone put a longer barrel (G48) in a micro C1 slide? will it function with no problems?
It would work the same way that a longer barrel in a G19 or 26 does. 43X/48 use the same lug, the frame is the same only the top end changes.
I’ve stuck a G34 Gen5 barrel in my G19’s and they work fine.
i stuck a gen5 17 barrel in my dagger, so i didn’t have to mess with the threads anymore
and it fits the holster perfectly
The reason I ask is the C1 is compensated and uses a regular 43 style length barrel… I don’t believe it does a lot of compensating but was thinking of buying a Glock 48 style barrel and insert it in the C1 slide…
Oh, those kinds of setups actually do a decent amount of compensation. If you shoot a normal length gun from compression, you can feel a good amount of blast on your body. Dot that with the internal comped one and you’ll want to be wearing eye pro for sure.
But yeah a 48 barrel would fit it, and completely negate the purpose of the C1.
you can use a threaded 48 barrel for a good length but, the sight radius is too short. if you use an rmr that wouldn’t matter…
The 48 barrel will NOT fit inside of a micro C-1… Why would anyone say it does. I am doing it right now and it wont fit at all.
because the 48 barrel fits in the 43x.. it doesn’t fit in your slide?
It’s kind of like the P365 Macro comp setup.
The barrel mates with the slide prior to the expansion chamber. The angles internal to the slide don’t allow the muzzle of the longer barrel to tilt into the expansion chamber area.
If you want to use a long barrel, get a regular micro slide, or else get an X1 slide.
